April 4, 201313 yr Malaga? Don't talk to me about Malaga! My wife and I had our cameras (video and still) nicked from under our noses whilst we were waiting for a cab outside Malaga airport! Thieving b*****ds! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
April 4, 201313 yr Deep sympathies, Ron, although to be fair I don't think the problem is entirely unique to Malaga. 8-\ @@howard OK, here are a few snaps — hopefully, enough to give you a clue what it looks like. I've also added the EFB chart, which is generated from the airport data, so you can see what's included. Hope it helps, Cheers, Brian and the EFB-generated chart of the airport -
April 4, 201313 yr Hey Brian, thanks for the screeines matey, very much appreciated. I'll download very soon. April 4, 201313 yr Hi Howard! My pleasure. :-) However, I did forget to add two important things: 1. *Sincere thanks* to the kind (and talented) AirHispania folks who made these available to us. 2. The installation sequence:- I didn't download the VFR stuff (what's VFR, and who needs it? ;-) ), but I took several of the available options from the download page which was kindly provided by NaMcO, and set them up in individual folders as follows: 0 pdf list of airports and aerodromes 1 required libraries 2 airports and aerodromes (v2) 3 update 4 miscellaneous 5 setup configurator v0.4 I then worked through folders 1 - 5 in sequence, running the exe files, and finally ran the configurator (<fsx dir>\Addon Scenery\scx.exe), selecting Malaga and also "compljo" (complex) (I didn't include Bilbao since I already have another version). I also enabled static aircraft (Aviones estáticos), and trees (Árboles). The exe files package the files very nicely: the only thing they don't do is to add the files to the scenery library for you. In the absence of any explicit instructions about what order to use, I added the following layers to my scenery.cfg (ignore the layer numbers, they're simply to indicate that I put the airports at the top):- Layer 291 "AirHispania airports" [...Addon Scenery\AirHispania SCX Aerodromos] Layer 290 "AirHispania miscellaneous" [...Addon Scenery\AirHispania SCX Varios] Layer 289 "AirHispania libraries" [...Addon Scenery\AirHispania SCX Librerias] I'm not sure whether that is the correct installation sequence, but so far it seems to be working for me. 88-) Cheers, Brian

April 4, 201313 yr Glad you're enjoying them I additionally removed all those weird baloons around the scenery because they seemed a bit excessive in my opinion. All the rest is just very nice! April 4, 201313 yr @@NaMcO Er, balloons?? 88-| @@mosteen There is, as the saying goes, a lot of it about. The only time it has happened to me (so far) was on a flight from Heathrow to Texas. The thief cut a hole through the top of my case and rifled through the contents. I wouldn't have minded quite so much if exactly the same thing hadn't happened on the way back, but it did.... <sigh> Perhaps it was something I said..... 8-\ Cheers, Brian
April 4, 201313 yr Yeah, there are a few air baloons around the airports... Unless you didn't download or add some of the libraries? April 4, 201313 yr I noticed the balloons too, can't say I've seen them when I've flown in before! It's definitely the best Malaga scenery around, not a massive hit on frames either (about 5fps hit on my system). Thanks for the find NaMcO! Matt Wharmby
April 4, 201313 yr @@NaMcO I downloaded the main library, but none of the VFR ones, so perhaps that's where the balloons are. 8-) Incidentally, I have just discovered a small problem with the scenery: it crashes the GSX pushback. Literally seconds after I took the second in the series of airport snaps I posted above, GSX crashed. The problem is repeatable, and occurs just after the psuhback guy says "Commencing push. All engines...." (he stops and the error message appears). The error is unique to LEMG, so I reckon that the AFCAD has to be responsible. Ah well, I'll just have to use the PMDG pushback for once.... ;-) Cheers, Brian
June 20, 201312 yr Hi guys, this LEMG scenery is great. I`ve been using it for almost 4 years. This people of airhispania always update their sceneries. The only problema is that if u use it in FSX the fsp hits hardly. The ballons represent the VFR notification points, very handly if u fly vfr around malaga. u dont have to be looking to the ground in case u need to know where u are. U van download vfr charts from AENA aip and see those points. http://www.airhispania.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2644&sid=414178082f19ceb8b3c8511fec1f98fd In these link u can download the photoreals 1 mpx of andalucia and all spain. they are just great, i live in malaga and know what im talking about, enjoy ur flight.
June 20, 201312 yr Glad everyone is enjoying them, although it has issues with GSX. September 15, 201312 yr Has anyone updated the AFCAD for this version of LEMG? The afcad provided with this scenery has very few parking spaces for AI. Thanks, Mark
September 17, 201312 yr I remember a couple of years ago when they where doing work on the runways in LEMG you had to get out of their by midnight local I think it was. We had a flight from EGGW to LEMG to EGGW. The aircraft that was being used for it had just come out of the hanger for a check and a little mouse had got on board somehow. When it got on stand in LEMG the young girl cabin crew doing the turnaround checks saw the blighter under the seats and started screaming etc etc, the captain and first officer came to the rescue and then rang us in ops and told us what the deal was. They then refused to operate the flight home due to the mouse and also due to the fact the skipper and the f/o thought they where going to get their leg over with the cabin crew on a unschedueled nightstop.... So after many phone calls, to Malaga, the airport agreed we could leave with the mouse onboard, and midnight was fast approaching, we told the crew to "get on with it and man up" The captain, insistant on getting his wicked way with the girls still refused and we where left in a dilema... Luckily enough on the stand next to them was the EGKK-LEMG-EGKK flight, and after more phone calls we swapped the crews, meaning a EGKK aircraft was in EGGW and vice versa. Both flights just got out in time for curfew and the captain who caused a 2 hour delay,a cost of £90,000 and a lot of messing around due to wanting to get his end off with the crew on a nighstop... got to love pilots eh....
