September 17, 201510 yr Commercial Member Success! MCE 2653 operating properly with GSX after factory reset and wizard run through, so many thanks. (Still getting localiser/glideslope call out problem previously reported in other thread.) For some reason, V2654 zip does not extract properly and I would rather not risk the patch. Is there anything in V2654 that is vital to me, please? If not, I'll leave well enough alone! Try extracting the package with the built-in Windows capability (without using third party software like winzip, 7-zip etc..) Right-click "mce.zip" and select "Extract all" It's OK to remain on V2.6.53 As for the glide slope issue, it's a tough one, and possibly linked to the custom scenery you're using. MCE reads NAV1 type from FSX (and it's not tied to any aircraft). There is a flag in there that says Navaid has glide slope or not. I believe that info ultimately comes from scenery (bgl files), and if the custom one you installed has the wrong info, co-pilot will see it as full ILS even if the Jeppessen (Navigraph or whatever) says it's LOC only Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
September 17, 201510 yr Thanks again for your response. I did use the Win7/64 "Extract All" method on V2654 zip but it didn't seem to work. However, I've downloaded V2654 zip again and all ok this time, so no idea what happened. Having said that, I'll stick with V2653 anyway, since you say it's fine for my set up. Since the "LOC/GS" is off topic for this thread, I'll clarify the problem in "If you think you've found something that's not working".
March 15, 201610 yr Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help, with GSX selections Okay the secnario is this, I request boarding from simon. That starts, the window opens to select handler and a handler is selected automatically and off things go. The issue is pushback, I request pushback, the window opens then in my last two flights it selects de-icing. I didn't need it but it did it anyway, once finished I request start the push and it opens the window and starts de-icing again. At no point does the window stay open for me to make selections it just does it itself and carries on. Am I doing something wrong here? I need the Windows to open and let me choose and not just pick what ever it wants! I'm starting to think it's my wife doing the ground crew part, she never listens either lol If someone could comment that would be great Rob

"Confirm required de-icing". If microphone picks up "Yes", "affirmative" or other variants, de-icing will go ahead. Should you need total control of the GSX window, rather than rely on MCE handling that, set yourself up to use "AES", even if you don't have it installed. Use the voxkey tool (not to be confused with Voxscript). Click Start->All apps->Multi Crew Experience->Tools->Voxkey Since you are using FSX, open the "FSX Demo.vkp" profile. Add your custom commands to handle GSX window menu Example "show GSX window" command and tie it to the trigger key combo. "GSX menu one" to trigger 1, etc... Custom commands you create must be different from built-in ones by at least one letter. Close Voxkey tool when done editing. As MCE starts, it scans the FSX related profile for any custom commands and makes them available for speech recognition. From then on, you utter_whatever_you_want, and whatever_key_combo was tied to that command, will be sent to the simulator. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
March 17, 201610 yr Thanks Gerald for the reply, I'll just let GSX do its thing, it looks like it just picks the default items for that airport and uses them, that's fine. Only issue I had with it today (With Dash 8) was the ground team was waiting to push and was waiting until the engines started. I started both engines and that's where I was stuck, no pushback and only options in menu were abort pushback or stop pushback here. Rob

Rob Hello Rob, With the J41 ( which is never pushed in real life ) and the Dash 8 ( which is not usually pushed ), what I do is to attach the Tug before starting the engines. Alternatively, and this may be an anomaly with my install, I request push back and select before starting engines option. Then go ahead and run the engines up, then request push back. Strangely, GSX then pushes back, even though the engines are running! If you want to be cheeky and this is never done in the Dash 8 (although it is done in the Herky Bird C130 ) , you can put the props, from beta, just into reverse and the Dash 8 will reverse for you. You can even steer the aircraft with the nose wheel steering! Depends if you want to depart from real life or not.... If you want a real laugh, have Sven as the ground mechanic and don't release him from his duties before you move......I think that's cursing in Sweedish Cheers, David
March 20, 201610 yr Gents, have you tried MCE on P3D v3.2? It does not recognize GSX, may be as a result of changed GSX window display technology (it now uses the Scaleform library). Cheers, Roman Heriban
March 21, 201610 yr Indeed, the menu selection within GSX does not properly work in connection with MCE in 3.2. I am not sure but MCE appears not to select the commanded option from the GSX window. As a workaround I select everything manually in the GSX window, which is more reliable. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR
March 21, 201610 yr It seems that MCE doesn't detect GSX in P3D32 at all. I miss particularly the GSX invoked doors handling. Cheers, Roman Heriban

A patch will be made available within 2 days. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

March 26, 201610 yr Commercial Member We wanted to make further tweaks to the PF3 interface before releasing. But this one is good to go as far as GSX is concerned. Download this file, unzip it, then replace files according to folder structure. http://www.multicrewxp.com/MCE-Patch26653.zip Is the patch already available? Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
April 5, 201610 yr Hi everyone, I normally fly the Dash8, but recently I have flown the Aerosoft A320. I noticed that GSX will not interact with doors when I ask for boarding. Even if I ask ground to open cargo doors it refuses. Is there anything I can check to get this working? Rob
August 15, 20169 yr Hi there, With the latest version of GSX, push back with MCE appears not to be coordinated properly in my setup and it is becoming frustrating since several versions of MCE ago. I have read through the whole MCE forum, but cannot find something to make it different. This is what I do: First I establish contact with the ground crew by saying "Ground from cockpit". The ground responds. Then, I ask: "Ground ready for push?" The ground responds. If I call the ground crew and say "ground push to the left", MCE makes the appropriate selection in the GSX menu window and afterwards immediatley the next windows opens, asking whether I would like to start the engines before pusback. If I do not make a selection but wait until I am asked by MCE, the window closes and automatically selects option 1 (start engines before pushback). Then few seconds later (too late by then) when the selection windows referring to engine start before pushback is already closed, MCE asks verbally wether I would like to start engines before pushback. Then the next GSX windows opens but this is the window asking whether I would like to abort the pushback. Obviously, MCE is one window asking behind. It appears there is a problem in coordinating the windows with the question. Any solution? This is on Windows 8, 64bit, P3D V335 and all text messages (including the green GSX line) deactivated for reality.
