Is there any add on that makes rain look good? I have REX but I think it doesn't change rain. It looks like a line coming down from the sky.

Well you actually can add the rain effect of FS9 to work on all FSX default ONLY aircraft. I have done it and it is working. New addon airplanes however need to have it coded as part of the model. I will see if I can find the link as I did it about year ago.

I've hardcoded rain effects into two models so far.

The FSX model's effects were a bit more extensive with moving rain textures, but in the end, I find it was too much effort for too little gain.

In the end, I've settled on a static rain texture and working wipers to simulate proper windscreen wiping. it does the job and isn't too hard to do.

is it possible to remove snow and rain completely, Even when using weather engines like opus or Hifi?

Just tried this and 'removed' RainA.bmp, RainB.bmp, ... But then I lost all sky, sun and cloud textures. And it gets deeply grey. Strange, isn't it.
