February 28, 201313 yr Big changes from the Boeing 747-200B to the Boeing 747-400 and finally, the Boeing 747-8I. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
February 28, 201313 yr Nice composition! As I mentioned earlier, your livery makes all these aircraft look modern! Buying three B747s must have been expensive, though. . . .
March 3, 201313 yr They look the same to me? Perhaps because variants from three different "eras" would not usually be painted in the same (modern) livery?
March 3, 201313 yr The -200 still looks the best, imo. I like the B747-400 the most. Its engines are more impressive than those of the B747-200. Meanwhile, the B747-8 looks too modern—its double/single-slotted flaps, raked wingtips, and serrated nacelles are almost too elegant and less interesting than the same components on the B747-400 are.
March 6, 201313 yr Author How is this done? Is 1 of the planes yours and 2 static?.. Not quite. If you have FS Recorder, you can use it to record the planes, so I first recorded the Boeing 747-8I just sitting there, then recorded the Boeing 747-400 just sitting there. Finally, I played them both back as traffic and use the Boeing 747-200B to take the shot. They look the same to me? The livery, yes. The basic airframe, more or less, considering they all look like 747s. The only difference is that one is a Boeing 747-200B which flew its first flight in 1970, another is a Boeing 747-400 that flew its first flight in 1988, and the last is a Boeing 747-8I that flew its first flight in 2011. During that time, the 747 had an advancement in technology among other things like greater payload capacity and longer range.
