Major ProATC update 1.2

It's a shame that ASE don't update this feature, or better I don't know if it can handle ATIS in this range.

ATIS at destination is available at anytime via the Proatcx in flight menu.

Thanks Gregg,

Ah, from their website:

"AI is recognized and managed (not yet on ground, but while airborne)."

Excellent, so it IS managed in the air and it is implied it may be on the ground one day as well.  I will check their forums to see where they're at with that.

They have mentioned that it is pretty much on their priority list to have AI being managed on the ground.

Hm, I have to say it's not uncommon for me to get a traffic warning in the PMDG737... so I have my doubts about this AI support. How can you check that support anyway? ProATC/X doesn't actually talk to the AI...

Well, I tried to clarify that what I was talking about was in RC4.  It was a KingAir that flew past my nose at FL210.

I know. ^_^ I was responding to Hello_Head who read on the ProATC/X site that AI is supported. I just wonder how much it really is supported. ProATC/X doesn't talk to the AI so you can only see how ProATC/X handles the AI by looking at the AI and every now and then I see way too much of the AI which tells me ProATC/X doesn't do a too good job on it. ^_^

Update 1.2.3.0 has been released:

Update 1.2.3.0

  • The descent has been improved again with this version. We have detected that Navigraph isn't always correct regarding altitude restrictions - at least on the PRO-ATC/X package, which may cause difficulties on descent. They are working on it currently.
  • When requesting for an alternate SID/STAR you may now select other runways when wind conditions are not clear, means wind heading is variable or wind velocity is below 5 Kts. This will help getting the runway AI is using in those cases.
  • Automatic Update: This is the last version you have to install manually. You may check under Options "Automatically check for updates", then you'll be informed automatically when a new updates is available. When this option isn't ticked you may check manually, the setup will still be installed automatically.
  • Please don't forget to re-calculate a flightplan before using it after an update has been installed.
