Major ProATC update 1.2

Featured Replies

How does Pro ATC X cooperate with FS2Crew? I, as pilot flying give commands to the pilot monitoring (copilot) who answers with the FS2Crew voice. The radio communication is also done by the pilot monitoring, which is done by Pro ATC X. So there will be three different voices from the cockpit? (my own voice, and two pilot monitoring voices (FS2Crew and Pro ATC X)?) Is it like that?

And if so, is it possible to arrange that Pro ATC X uses the same voice as FS2Crew? If Pro ATC X and FS2Crew use the same voice, it would be contributing to a realistic experience in an aircraft flown by two pilots.

Hi I use both. ProATCX only controls the radios and handles comms in flight. On the ground i manually select options. FS2Crew does everything else. So yes there are 2 voices.

I was just flying a flight with ProATC-X from KLAX and KSAN. It set me up a little high, and I was coming in a little fast, TO Runway 9 so I decided to declare a Missed Approach, and ATC refused me??? It replied "Negative at this time"

Thanks

Update 1.2.2.5  has been released

  • Well, again a few corrections and improvements by this update.
  • In the flight planning window the SIDs and STARs are listed with their names. We hope this will make things less confusing. Very Important: Please don't expect the selected procedure to always be assigned during the flight. This is always dependent on the weather conditions!
  • Automatic Route Calculation has been improved again. We are now trying to use as many airways as possible and reduce direct to's.
  • AXE flight plans have been renamed to "PROATCXCLR" due to the limit of 10 characters set by AXE itself.
  • Please don't forget to re-calculate a flightplan before using it after an update has been installed.

Guess I'm going to look for some recent youtube videos to see what I'm missing as I own way too many ATC programs as it is.

Guys for the first time on this program, I finally got proper STAR waypoint and transitions being on the same page as ATC. This last update was huge. Very big step forward. Not perfect, but the previous arrival issues are no longer oceans apart but a whole lot closer to where they should be. There is some anomalies and altitude restrictions issues and perhaps vectoring but i have no doubt they will be sorted out and they are minor right now, and this change makes me now want to use pro atc again.

Big kudos to Clive and Mourad for listening to the community and implementing changes.

This addon is getting better and better, and I'm seriously planning to purchase it.

I don't understand the flightplanning feature. I usually plan my route with FSBuild, importing toute from routefinder. Then I export it for PMDG and FSX format.

My question is: can I continue planning with that tool and import my flightplans into Pro ATC X w/o using its flightplanner or is mandatory?

Thanks in advance

Riccardo

Yes Ricardo, you can. I copy my route from Vroute, and woks fine. Have also used FSBuild.

I just use it as a way of filing my route with ATC. Its more to make sure that what your flying is what ATC will be expecting. And when PFPX ever releases, even better, and should be a straight copy and paste or hopefully a straight import. The main thing is make sure your route is same, and file the STAR and transition you would like to fly. Pro Atc may change it but unlikely if you planned well for weather.

I dont use the pro atc file thats created after clearence, as I like to keep things real and enter it myself. Especially short - medium flights. Long hauls ill export from FSbuild.

I haven't bought this yet but it sounds like its getting close a big well done to the devs for making these changes and improving a much needed product in my opinion. There's not many options where devs are listening so this is very good and will get my money soon.

I have been using ProATCX since its release and love it, it has got better and better. The only issue I have is that I am always nervous when waiting for the call from Approach, sometimes it cuts it fine! One feature I would like would be the ability to predict the STAR and transition using the imported weather.

I was thinking about getting Vroute but I'll wait for PFPX.

I think that, to keep it real, they shouldn't do that.

is there a website or utility where i can put in the METAR and it tells me the most likely runway to be used?
