I'm thinking to try XP10

Featured Replies

Hello guys! I'm thinking to install XP10 to see how it behave in comparisson with FSX. I never have any XP installed on my PC ever, I don't know the menu and keys but I will find out.

My question is, there is something I should know about XP10 tweaking (like FSX) to run smooth, does it run smooth or is a FPS killer like FSX? I'm thinking to get 25-30FPS out of XP10, is this possible?

My sistem

Yes that's definitely possible. Everything you need is under rendering settings. Just play with the settings. Since its 64 bit you won't have all those issues as you did with FSX. Good luck with it. It's a great alternative.

Your specs are very similar to mine, it will run awesome.  If you run 3 screens in eyefinity or similar that takes a bite out of your frames, so you will need to play some with the sliders but otherwise its far superior to FSX.

I will run only one screen 1080p! What is the key combination to see frame rate?

And will it run on VATSIM, that is the only way I fly!!! I will disable all traffic like in FSX, I don't need it.

Yes I believe it will work with VATSIM if I'm not mistaken. I know it works with Pilotedge for sure.

To get the framerates to show up follow these instructions here:

Remember that X-Plane has a free demo which you can try out. This will help give you a look at how your system will perform, as well as help give you an introduction to X-Plane's differences. I always recommend trying the demo before buying - just in case!

Before plunking down 100 euros, by all means, follow Greg's advice and download the demo. I'm also wondering why it would be that expensive? It's selling for somewhere arounf $79 US plus a small shipping fee in most online outlets. Has the price gone up?

buy it, you will love it and once you buy a payware plane like the 777 or A320 for xp10, you will be amazed. :drinks: I use fsx/p3d and xp10 but xp gets the most flying time.  It uses all my pc's power.

Now with World Traffic add-on makes it a lot better also!

Not so sure my advice would be to buy over try the demo when the demo is so easy to get but that would be my advise on anything when try before buy is so easy.
