September 27, 200421 yr It's almost always the same story. Most developers write whatever "realism" on the box or on their site and if then someone comes up and puts a bit of that "realism" into question ? You bet another user (or sometimes developer himself) comes up and you get answers like "what do you want for your 25$, a multi million dollar sim" ? Not related to that 172 discission, but if someone complains about the handling/"feel" of a plane ? Then you bet someone comes up and tells you "hey, the seat of the pants isn't there in FS, so what do you want anyway".How many real flight hours does it need to raise a valid concern about flight dynamics ? 10, 1000 ? Does a Full Flight Sim simulator visit qualify to raise a concern about a flight model ? Does that matter at all ? And then : Real pilots are always good to write "tested by real pilots on the box". Sadly, if they complain about something in FS, they are often blamed to be too stupid to handle the different FS "environment". Often heard sentence. This is all not very constructive. As long as the user put their concerns about realism in a friendly manner, then why this isn't taken constructive including the chance too get products improved (for both sides ) ? What do we users want ? Take everything as is for our hard earned dollars ? Probably not. I have seen A LOT of improvements in past products because users asked for them. So let's keep it constructive. And your personal fights please elsewhere. We are all (somewhat) sitting in the same boat, aren't we ?Michael
September 27, 200421 yr Thanks Steve I think I will do that. I really liked the plane. Thanks again. Don
September 28, 200421 yr How do I install the Realair C172 into FS2004. I thought it was a FS2002 plane?
September 28, 200421 yr Moderator > Nope Len, only you today ;-) you remind me of my ex wife,>always needs the last word. You really need to quit poking folks in the eye with ad hominem remarks. Stick to FS issues and leave your snide remarks on the sticky pad. It's a shame there's no "kill file" for AVSIM's forums. Fr. September 28, 200421 yr Commercial Member >> It's a shame there's no "kill file" for AVSIM's forums.I'm all for it. Calling any product "a piece of (feces)" is unacceptable no matter how many posts of how "well known" the poster. It seems barely a product is released nowadays without some huge flareup. As soon as a discussion becomes "personal" it's time to shut it down or edit it, trouble is it is happening too much lately and it's hard for the moderators to keep up (what is happening to us?).Some folks might need to go back and read the Avsim forum user agreement:Please also understand that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN A PRIVATELY OWNED AND OPERATED FORUM. If you believe that you should have unfettered freedom of speach without equal responsibility for its use, then the AVSIM forums are not for you. September 28, 200421 yr Hmmm. Maybe you've been staring into a monitor too long. Got ya all worked up. Anything sets you off including a critique of a little computer plane. Any other things set you off? Wind blowing the wrong way? Clothes not folded properly? Lol! Randy, sounds like you're a hot-head. I'd push away from your computer if I were you, take a nice warm bubbly bath and read something that will soothe your troubled mind. It seems this flightsimming business has got you in a terrible knot. I agree. Sounds like an infomercial for Flight1. He attacked another guy in the other post on the 172 as well. Chill pill man. What do you call these remarks by Len? Love posts Bill? And I never even talked to him in the first place, he just thought to stick his two cents and I will not just let him get away with attacking me and no one even tell him a word, only me hummmmm. If you are going to preach about "You really need to quit poking folks in the eye with ad hominem remarks. Stick to FS issues and leave your snide remarks on the sticky pad." better to be fair and tell EVERYONE because it takes more than one for an argument don't you agree? Not to mention some certain nasty VC removal posts..... Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! September 28, 200421 yr There is one version for each sim. One for fs2002 and one for fs2004. Both are here in the library. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
September 28, 200421 yr 'What would someone coming to this site for the first time think if this was the first thread they came across?' Craig, how right you are. I'm a relative newcomer to flightsimming and just cannot believe the abuse that gets hurled around here at times, although I have to admit it is entertaining (for a bit). But don't worry, the Spitfires will be out soon and there won't be many here who'll be in a position to comment on the flight models - or will there?Ian (never flown a Cessna in my life)

September 29, 200421 yr Author > Get FSUIPC and learn how>to calibrate your controls. What for?. I have no time to tweak poor design. Flight1's 172 not only flies better with me doing "nothing" but its panel also looks like real Cessna.Michael J. Michael J.
