Further to my previous post, I found the problem was because I undeleted FS9 and reloaded it the 'Navdata' also needs to be re-loaded. Ok now. This is handy too.http://www.simugold.fsnet.co.uk/files/nocd2k4patched.zipASUS KT333 M/Board, Radeon9800Pro128mb, 1024DDR, ATI xp2400+CPU, 80 gb HDD

No CD is out

I've managed to run the update - although it says it updated successfully, (took ages too, couple of hours easily) when starting FS (which now seems to take longer than before, but maybe because of this), I get the following dll's as being incompatible and do i wish to load them;IACENC.dllIR41_32.dllIR41_QC.dllIR50_32.dllIYVU9.dllNow, it seems that whether or not i disable them FS will load just fine - I am just wondering if any of you guys may know what purpose they serve - these seem to be some kind of codec/filter dll having done a google on them. Seems they're not critical as FS runs without them - i hesitate to use "runs fine" as its clearly not !!Help- About shows 9.1.xxx so i know the patch has done something..

I fully agree with you, Alex!Let us put it straight, (maybe a bit philosophic...): Whenever a patch for a running FS-version is needed to repare technical shortcomings in the running version, this means that the former beta-testing-team did not perform their job well.Apart from missing bridges, I can produce a list of at least 10 highlight-spots in global scenery that are missing in FS9.Furthermore, when a system comes available to technically update the scenery to a better level in general, it would be better to incorporate this in a next version of MSFS, to avoid coming up with a patch that causes troubles to many users when installing it into the running FS-version. Paddy.

The patch is working well for me. I did have to un-install FS9 and re-install it so that the patch would install, but after doing this, my FPS went up, even on my slower PIII 1 GHZ system! It is nice to be able to use all the autogen scenery again! Thanks Microsoft for the fixes!Scott

I had the same problem as I copied these files as part of the mini restore prior to installing the update. Thanks to Mr. Chris Willis! :-)All I did to correct the problem is delete these files from the Modules folder and all was OK!Barry

I am starting this pinned topic for you to post any information about the patch that other users may need.It is AVSim policy not to discuss any software that circumvents copy protection of payware software, so please don't discuss this in this thread. Also, you need to have the v3.4.0 of FSUIPC. You may get it from here: http://www.schiratti.com/dowsonEdit: the patch can be downloaded from here:http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/downloads.aspThanks!
