Anyone tried this GS-105 motion simulator?

I looked at the RC platform a while back. It's very nice, but at 4x the price of the GS offering, it's too expensive for me.

So what happens when you pull the Eject lever on a fighter jet in that chair?

"Function only available with FSX Acceleration" ^_^

I bet it gets cues from controller inputs more than the game being used...

Maybe everyone interested in this thing could send them a mail asking them to put up a video how this thing will work with FSX? I need to see how this thing works in practice with FSX before I decide to buy or not.

Agreed. The more people that express an interest, the more likely they are to take notice. I've registered my claim.

Its £650 compared to $2100?

II'm worried about the input. if it gets it from the controller when a plane's on AP its not gonna work.

Eh, when I press the link the price say "£6500.00 plus Delivery"

Well, my eyesight isn't what it was, particularly when it comes to figures, but when I look at the RC link posted above, it says the platform is £6500.00 (plus delivery). Which makes sense. Last time I looked at it, it was priced just over £5K.

Got a reply on the mail I sent them, when they received it they was already finishing making the video. Here is it in action with the Cub

Looks like it "feels" the turbulence and stalls too so I guess it will work on autopilot too. Im gonna send them a new mail and ask about wether it interact with the controls or takes the data from the sim..

And the movements don't seem too brutal so with a little tuning of the headtrack I could see it would maybe not be an issue, using the precision mode or something...

Tough to see the "Motion"  I see the shaking which is more like a force feedback chair, what was difficult to make out from the video was the bank/climb movement...

Do we know the range of motion left/right and up/down?

Not the best video, couldn't see the left/right motion that good either, but if you look at the other videos on their site with racing sims you can see how much it moves right and left... I don't really know so much about this either, but you can send them mails with questions and maybe get them to make more videos? I would like to see how this behaves also during taxiing and braking...

I see you mention force feedback chairs, do you have any links to some of them. I would be intrested comparing similar products out there before I decide wether to buy this or not..
