June 19, 201312 yr I just made a picture perfect no power belly landing with the P-40 in a meadow on the island of NIIhou. Sure hope someone comes looking for me soon or I will be paddling to the mainland in my little inflatable raft. I have tried this many times before and it has always resulted in a crash and game reset. Steve
June 19, 201312 yr O.K., Steve. How the heck did you do that? It has always ended in a crash for me. I would not have believed it possible without the pictures. B) Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
June 20, 201312 yr Hi Folks O.K., Steve. How the heck did you do that? Be gentle Luis. I had lots of practise in the Icon, when attempting Gold in the "Landing Challenges", having forgotten to lower. ATBPaul ODG Preview
June 20, 201312 yr If at first you don't succeed, try try again! Good one Steve. :im Not Worthy: J. R.
June 20, 201312 yr This sounds like a great new challenge. A gear-up "belly" landing in the aircraft of your choice! I choose the Cub. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
June 20, 201312 yr Author Good one Luis. After a few more attempts I did it again with the P-40. No go with the F4U, too nose heavy. The radiator scoop on the bottom of the P-51 is a real problem as it was with the real bird in a belly landing. Steve
June 20, 201312 yr Why is the camera in the last screenshot in the cinematic view? Isn't that only available for missions (or the crash sequence)? Edit: Er, oh, it is crashing. I didn't realize that was the F4U.
June 21, 201312 yr I tried it with the C-46 and it did not end well. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
June 21, 201312 yr I did it on the runway with the RV about 6 months ago. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
June 21, 201312 yr Does not the RV-6 have a fixed landing gear? Woops. I meant Icon. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
June 22, 201312 yr I’m a little curious Steve; after you succeed in landing the plane did you try to lower the landing gear like you can with Icon? Thank you :excl: J. R. J. R.
