July 15, 201312 yr I have never used the NGX without EzDok and I love it. Definitely gives you a certain feel of freedom in the VC. I used AOA's NGX profile for a quick set up but then edited the views to my preference. Highly recommended. The funny thing is this.... I have never even used the views that come with the NGX. In fact, I don't even know how to use them lol. I have often wondered if I have been missing out on a wing view or in cabin view? Ben Weaver SWA8485
July 15, 201312 yr My vote is no. There are predefined camera views (that are even present as far back as the JS4100) that are just as capable. If you want to create your own, sure, buy a program to help you do that, but the ones that ship with the product are essentially just like the 2D panels anyway. I've been using the VC since the JS41 - using the PMDG-provided viewpoints - and have never looked back (or looked into other programs). Agree to that. The predefined views will let you reach every part of the flight deck in a 2D like fashion, as easy as hitting the A key a couple of times! ------------------------ Mattias Nordin ESOW
July 22, 201312 yr Having just tried the Opus demo for several days, I purchase EZDOK and definitely feel it is the superior product for cameras, viewpoints and flying immersion. I regret I did not buy it sooner for all my planes. Going VC will be just as easy as 2D using Ezdok, just need a bit of patience to set it up. But then again, easier yet, I'm sure you can easily download and import an already made camera file for any PMDG product out there. Maybe this video can give you a starting point. PM me if you like my setup, and I'll give you my profile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuMsrWcirMA&hd=1 Chidiebere Anyahara
July 22, 201312 yr I just upgraded to FSX and did my first with the NGX and EZCA. I must say EZCA is amazing. The immersive factor it adds is simply unparalleled to anything I have used. It does take some getting used to in the program and figuring out views but it is definitely one of those things that you will always want to tinker with to keep making your experience better. It is a must buy for any avid FSX user.
July 30, 201312 yr I've heard some say that EZCA will cause a frame rate hit, but I've never really compared the two (EZCA & OPUS cameras) despite using OPUS for my weather. I guess I'm too lazy to try the OPUS cameras out? Anyhoo, EZCA was a pain to get set up, but once the light bulb went off there was no looking back. Once the 777 is out, I'll just copy over my MD-11 or 747 camera files, adjust each view as necessary then save it....can't wait!! Chris Sunseri
