July 2, 201312 yr I think there's a possibility that we are starting to see Prepar3d 2.0 default scenery. Read more about it here! Proud supporter of the best social network on the web!
July 2, 201312 yr I sure hope so. It would be nice to see a P3D 64bit version looking like this. I'd be in line to get it and development groups like PMDG would be stupid at this point to continue to not embrace it. FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
July 2, 201312 yr Author Absolutely! It is speculation based on opinion, I don't deny that at all. It's an interesting thought though don't you think? Proud supporter of the best social network on the web!
July 2, 201312 yr Absolutely! It is speculation based on opinion, I don't deny that at all. It's an interesting thought though don't you think? Yes, it sure is intresting. And even if LM don't have FTX Global as default scenery it will be released for P3Dv2 so we will have it anyway only have to pay that 100 bucks to get it B)

July 2, 201312 yr Author From John Venema himself; "There is no truth in these rumours. Orbx has not been approached by LM to license any of our tech for their platform. That is a fact. Whilst I am in regular contact with LM it is mainly discussion around P3D 1.x and 2.x alpha/beta progress and nothing I can discuss in public anyway." In a way I'm disappointed as a sim with Orbx FTXG quality scenery out of the box would have been a joy to behold. Guess there's nothing for it but shell out for both in their turn! July 2, 201312 yr P3D 2.0 wll NOT be 64bit. Do you have a link, I'd really like to read more. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
July 2, 201312 yr They have said that 64bit is not their top priority with Version 2 but they have neither dismissed it, so someday it could happen.... But getting DX11 would be a great leap from what we have now.
July 2, 201312 yr I'm too lazy to go looking for links, but it has been posted many of times by L-M personnel that v2.0 is an upgrade to DX11 and not 64bit. Speculating on my part, but if there was to be a move to 64 bit that it would be another full dot release.
July 2, 201312 yr I'm too lazy to go looking for links, but it has been posted many of times by L-M personnel that v2.0 is an upgrade to DX11 and not 64bit. Yes, but they never dismissed that there would ever be a 64bit Prepar3D Version, but offcourse that would be as you say a full dot realese(v3-4-5?) and it probably will take some years to get there. I just phrased myself a little wrong in my post above and ment for future versions not v2
July 2, 201312 yr Commercial Member A 64 bit conversion would be a massive project. They've stated that it would require rewriting much of the libraries and DLLs, some of which have been used by the sim for years. Brandon Filer
July 2, 201312 yr I heard this speculation talked about a while back. That FTX Global would be what V2 uses as default. But I never tought that was viable. There'd be a riot if Orbx sold FTX Global for $100 to FSXers and then a few months later P3D 2.0 comes out for $50 with the same stuff.
