Not if you learn to use it correctly.

I try for many days to find a solution and i cant. Also i have a general question, there are so many videos on youtube with many addons and high graphics, how they do it?

None of the videos on youtube run FSX with graphic sliders very high; otherwise, fsx would crash.  You do not need all your sliders to the right to get the best eye-candy.  Use the recommendations of the experts like those made by the Orbx developers in their manuals.  The people who developed MegaScenery have excellent guidelines for the best graphics for that scenery too.  None have the sliders maxed out.  I agree with B247NG in that I think ******* Venetubo's recommendations are a bit outdated for the modern computer systems but it does not hurt to try them.  They have helped many but most people are going to less tweaks and higher settings like Texture_Max_Load=2048 or 4096 instead of the default and Level_of_Radius=6.5 instead of the default max of 4.5.

So, you state you are still trying to find a solution and can't?  The OOM's are still occurring?  If so, you need to follow the suggestions above and reduce your settings.

Best regards,

Jim

Probably the problem is that fsx exceeds 4gb of ram and crashes!

First of all, I if you say that probably the problem is an OOM, I would ensure that it actually is one.

Did you get a message that FSX has run out of memory? If not, monitor your VAS with ProcessExplorer or VMMap during your flights to see if you are getting close to the 4GB limit.

If that's not the case then your problem lies elsewhere.

Tom

In process explorer the fsx is about 2gb and rex 0.85gb! What else could it be?

Is that the memory usage just before FSX crashed?

The columnis virtual size.Yeah and before crash but evey time these are the numbers! I send also from appcrashview the content of the crash in pmdg forum and he told me that the problem is OOM failure!

Unless you were running a 32bit OS, this can't be an OOM.

The crash might be caused by one of your addons, but to find out which one you need to start with a clean FSX and re-enable your addons step by step to find out which one is causing the crashes:

1. Start with a clean, non-tweaked FSX.cfg (just delete the old one and have FSX generate a new one). I'd only add Highmemfix=1 as tweak because that's not known to cause any negative side effects.

2. Disable all addons in dll.xml and exe.xml .

3. Disable your addon scenery as suggested above.

4. Don't use any addons running in external processes such as the REX weather engine.

5. If you haven't done before, install the uiautomationcore.dll replacement as well as FSUIPC (unregistered version is sufficient to help with g3d.dll crashes).

6. Then work your way back to the old config by re-enabling addons one at a time.

Tom

Even on 64-bit Windows a 32-bit process only has 2Gb of Virtual Address Space unless the IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE flag is set. For FSX this flag was  set by SP2 so without it an OOM could occur at 2Gb..

The fsx.exe version number in the crash log indicates that he has Accel installed.

Yesterday i uninstalled My traffic 2013 and fsx runs only with pmdg and rex. I ve done  a flight and everything gone great, but today with the second fight the problem showed again! I run 64 bit! I have setted my fsx.cfg file as Word Not Allowed's Flight Simulation World recommends! Why in one flight there is a collision and in other theres not?

Download and install ExplorerSuite.  This will allow you to override the default fsx.exe setting of only using 2gb of memory to 4gb...made a big difference for me.  This should help with any throttling that may occur.  As for my experience using Venetubo, I use it as a base, but it lacks quite a few other tweaks that can be done manually.  Extremely easy to set up and if something goes wrong, pull a backup fsx.cfg or have fsx create a new one a start over.  Fsx is very tweak-dependent.

Yes everybody tells me that fsx crashes at 4gb,but mine crashes a little bit lower of 3gb! I hope explore suite to help. If not i will try venetubo fsx.cfg. If the problem still exists i will let you know!

Must check this, If you right click on "my computer" and select "properties", what is under "windows edition", "instaled memory" and "system type"?

Also, go to FSX main folder and find FSX.EXE. Right click on "fsx.exe" and select "details" tab. What is under "file version" and "product version"?

This will tell us if there is a problem with windows/fsx versions.
