July 16, 201312 yr Hi! I'd like to use FPS limiter, but there is a problem. I've created a bat file (fsx.exe.limited) but when I double click it it doesn't start FSX. Only small dos window appears for a sec and then disappears. I've tried with all three options D3D9, OGL, D3D8 but nothing works. I've selected fsx.exe file by clicking search button, I have win 7 32, Java,.... I just don't know what's wrong. Is there an alternative to FPS Limiter?

July 19, 201312 yr Yep, fsx internal limiter is better and recommended I beg to differ. For me the Java external frame limiter gives better FPS. Tried it several times because some people (like Word Not Allowed) call others using external limiters 'silly' etc. but for me it works, and i know for several others too. Best for everybody is to try it yourself! @Constatin: I use the freeware fps limiter 0.2 (easy to find with Google) and this is a working batch-script: start C:\"Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\"FPS_Limiter.exe /r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:OFF /l:OFF "C:\Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Just replace the FSX location with yours. Hope it helps! Mark
July 19, 201312 yr +1 I agree.. I've tried the alternative and keep coming back to an external frame limiter. In my case nVidia Inspector. Besides few things work the same for everyone. Ernie
