Hi

I've been looking at a few video's of people using EZDOK and was wondering how many people use it, and those that do,do they find it better than the standard fsx camera effects I don't own track ir and probably would not buy that, but would possibly consider EZDOK

Also does it have any sort of frame hit when using it

thanks for any advise

"Better than the standard fsx camera effects"...? What standard fsx camera effects?!? ^_^ EZDOK offers stuff default FSX doesn't have at all!

I have to add though that I stopped using EZDOK after getting OpusFSX, a weather engine that also has 'camera effects'. It's another good option! If not better... ^_^

I consider myself to be of, at least, average intelligence. For some reason, I could not get EZDOK to work properly. I do have track ir 5 and enjoy using it. I have read that the two programs track ir and ezca) are complimentary.

Instead I use opus camera, wx and track ir.

EZDOK is supposed to give realistic bounces so in that regard it should be better realism than default fsx. (Default has very subtle head acceleration effects)

Obligation satisfied!

I don't get a frame hit when using it! I would recommend it!

I agree with SKEWR, I tried about six times to get my head around Ezdok before managing to get it to work. BUT, I would say it's an absolute must have for FSX. If I had to choose between TrackIR and Ezdok, then IMO Ezdok would win hands down. It must be remembered that Ezdok not only adds camera movements to resemble ground roll, turbulence and dynamic head movements, it can also place a multitude of your own predefined views anywhere you like, either inside or outside of the aircraft.

I use EZDOK and TrackIr together all the time ...

But, I also like doing fights with just EZdok.

BTW I also use it with TrackIR. And in my case if I had to choose, I would go for TrackIR! EZDOK or the OpusFSX cams and effects are great and a nice addition but if I had to choose it would be a no brainer for me...!!! Probably also because I never leave the VC while flying so I don't really need all those difference camera views. I have flown without cam add ons every now and then during the last year without really missing it but flying without TrackIR... no way!

I love Ezdok. It was very intimidating at first and after several days of trial and error I finally got it just the way I wanted it. There are some great introductory videos and support.

Thanks everyone

It would seem from what you have said I think it might be worth getting

I use EZdok, no TIR, I own Opus but never got the cameras to work as smooth as EZdok. And now I use FS Global Real Weather so Opus is shelved for the moment.

The major thing for me was when I found this post:

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/379713-ezdok-ezca-profiles/?fromsearch=1

Esteemed member DanW posted a link with the result of his great effort in making camerasets for a bunch of popular aircraft. Including DHM and vibration profiles (so you can import only the DHM and/or vibrations if you prefer your own cameras, right click on the red buttons for DHM and vibrations).

Highly recommended, and thanks to DanW for his outstanding work!

Okay, cat amongst the pigeons! I have and have used extensively, TIR, EZDOK and Opus. And have to recommend Opus or Opus with TIR. I'm afraid for me there is "nothing" to touch the DHM in Opus, which makes all of my flights much more real and that's not even touching on the weather. This week alone there have been three updates to Opus, which now also contains a weather map. But for me over and above everything it's the amazing DHM effects that keep me hooked. That being said I can't speak for GA aircraft as I only fly the heavies.

Hehe, cat or pigeon, we're all lucky to have these fantastic sw to choose from. Stephen and Cheryls support for Opus is just outstanding, EZdok support, well, that is user-to-user based. I know Opus is developed in a very fast pace and I might give it a try again one day when I am bored :)
