August 4, 201312 yr After reinstalling my PMDG-737 I encounter a weird problem ( see attachement ) When the aircraft is on the rwy ready for take of I cannot see the other end of the runway. I assume it has something to do with the settings but after trying all kind of options without success I decided to ask this Forum. Thank Hubert Werni Herbert Werni
August 4, 201312 yr Please note: the following response is intended to be humorous. I see what the problem is, you'v got the 2D cockpit up. You can fix this by pressing the letter "A" on your keyboard. To look around press spacebar and move the mouse around while holding spacebar down. Mouse scroll wheel can be used to zoom in and out. Otherwise, got no idea. Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
August 4, 201312 yr The PMDG NGX was built with the VC being the dominant cockpit, instead of the 2D. - - Tommy - -
August 4, 201312 yr you can change the view - just use the spacebar and mouse to move the view up a bit and let go. The VC is much better than the 2d cockpit though... Elliot Westacott
August 4, 201312 yr Try reading the introduction manual your solution is there for you to find,(page 13 hint) you say you taking off? no flight plan loaded. tcas off, flaps set wrong, auto brakes not set to rto these are a few things wrong with you set up for takeoff. Dont think so - looks like he just landed - speedbrakes deployed and LAND 3 on PFD - have a closer look next time before judging Elliot Westacott
August 4, 201312 yr Aircraft state seems irrelevant to the question asked. Silly response indeed. Chris Horsley Vref at the IAF is not a safe aircraft state - Please fly quicker
August 4, 201312 yr i think the solution was either to press the (minus key) or (shift and backspace together).. or something like that, dont remember Tebin Ulrich
August 4, 201312 yr have a closer look next time before judging Didn't you read my post, op post said he was ready for take off, which I was only referring he had the settings set wrong for takeoff that's all. Most likely case he hasn't got the WideViewAspect=true set in his fsx.cfg display section or he has used the zoom in key for some reason Using the back space key or using the space bar and mouse wont work since he is in 2d mode if he were in 3d than yes I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
August 4, 201312 yr To the OP: Wasn´t that a problem with the release version (before all the hotfixes and servicepacks)? In other words: is it the latest and up-to-date version you´re running? Regards, Arne Bergner
August 4, 201312 yr Commercial Member I assume it has something to do with the settings but after trying all kind of options without success I decided to ask this Forum. I searched Google ("adjust 2d fsx view angle") and this was the first result: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a9/how-to-set-the-fsx-2d-panel-view-angle.aspx Crazy coincidence there, honestly. Here's the info from the linked page: To adjust the 2D Panel viewing angle up or down, use: Down: Ctrl+Q Up: Ctrl+Shift+QArticle ID: 9, Created On: 2/19/2010, Modified: 2/19/2010 Kyle Rodgers

August 4, 201312 yr Commercial Member Can't find the box "Best answer".Where is it supposed to be ? I think it's normally over on the right side somewhere (I don't normally start threads, so I think I've only seen it once). Looks like you or an admin found it, though! Kyle Rodgers
