This on-going problem with ezca and it's developer

Featured Replies

I use OPus now that I see it has a "transition speed" scalar option 0 to 100,

Had so many probelms figuring out EZCA, now I cannot use my hat switch been trying for a year to get it to work Im fed up with it.

The only 2 options I miss is the edit-on-the-fly and the dynamic head movement switch/per/view.

A long time user of EZCA and love it.  Gave up on TIR and never use it these days -  now use EZCA with my yoke and joystick hat buttons to move the POV around the cockpit.  For me a much better way of doing things than with TIR - too hard on the eyes.

Same here, gave up on TrackIR and only use EZCA now. Works well, all the views on my F keys, almost don't use the hat button either.

Couldn't get used to turning the head to the right and look to the left (or vice versa) with TrackIR. EZCA is much better. Couldn't fly without it anymore.

What do you mean "TIR was hard on the eyes" ? In what way..

Um, so when you turned your head right your view in fsx turned to the left?  And you think that's how it's supposed to work?  Maybe I misunderstood.

No Brent, when i turn my head to the right i have to keep looking to my monitor, so i have to look to the left. Right?

The movement has to be very slight. Maybe you had it configured wrong or something.

Ok. Gotcha. Sorry.  :)

With respect ... if you dont like it dont buy it.

I dont think its overly priced I personally think its good value and a good little tool, flight simming would be worse off without it.

Used EZCA for years without TrackIr. Yes its a bit tricky to setup but I would be lost without it. It works perfect without TrackIr don't know why OP thinks otherwise. I have 4 views setup in the VC like Pilot Eyes, Left, Right, and FMC. I also use only one external cam which is a spot cam that Martin released on the F1 forum. It works like a dolly cam with the arrow keys and page up/down and I can zoom it with the scroll wheel and 360 it, makes those tricky screenshot angles very easy. VC cams are on my hat the exterior cam is on a spare joystick hotkey, that way I don't run into the world cam issue of scenery loading.

Not sure if that's even fixable. Its the same as switching to the nearest tower cam and the scenery is blurry because you are far a way from your aircraft.

Give it time the scenery will load usually, but yes I have had to restart FSX after setting up world cams at an airport for a video due to floating autogen etc. EZCA hacks the FSX memory to create these world cams and its really is quite an acheivment. Don't know if its fixable, its probably an FSX limitation.

Trick is with EZCA is to forget about all your normal view controls and cross over to the dark side lol Took me 3 attempts to get happy with EZCA and once I added TrackIr5 to the mix in June I have never looked back.

I would find it hard to to sim without it. Clicking around the cockpit makes it so much easier especially with larger aircraft. I have Opus but prefer the EZCA software for views and effects. Not the easiest UI to work with though. Quite pricey but adds alot. Interesting to see what V2 will bring (if it ever gets released).

Kind Regards

Simon.

I got TrackIr .. a long time ago. Used it a'lot for VC but many flights used 2D view anyway .. I like 2D best.

So EZdok came out and I got it. I like it a'lot.

Used it with TrackIr in VC but as time went on I stopped using the TrackIr option (unchecked/disabled in Ezdok)  .. and just used Ezdok in VC. Now I am just using Ezdok in VC now.

For military jets / aircraft carrier landings I only use TrackIr.

When Ver 2 comes out I will get it (developer support) but I am not sure I really need it because ver 1.17 is ok in FSX and P3D right now.

Personal support from the developer on his F1 forum is lacking but forum members on the forum will help get you going ... and, once going you are going you will not need to re-visit the forum very much ... if at all.

No errors, no bugs, no complaints ... Ezdok is money well spent.
