There's so much hype over this product, and potential users have built up in their minds what to expect, that I actually fear for the release.  Not for PMDG, 'coz their stuff is superb.  Our AVSIM lives are going straight to the 7th level of Dante's Hades.  Why?  Because a good half of those new users are gonna complain, and b!+ch, and whine about how this isn't right, or that sucks, or PMDG shoulda done it "this way", or whatever.

 

The complaining and back and forth and bickering among users will hit a new high, or low, whichever the rest of us see it.  But it will be ugly, methinks.  It will start with someone saying "this rocks", or "I just flew the Sydney route and it was awesome", and someone else will complain "yes, but (insert trivial complaint here)", and then it will be ON.  I'm sure that I could create some bizzare mathematical formula for it, but I think it will expand on an exponential level for sure.  Perish the thought.

Now see, with PMDG, I expect the wear thread layer showing up on one of the main tires randomly (sometimes even the RED layer) as I do my walkaround...  Aagh, just kidding...

Exactly. It would be like me complaining to Gordon Ramsay about the quality of his Beef Wellington, or how he could have prepared it better. I would be TOTALLY unqualified to make any such judgements, as my "fine dining" experience is pretty much limited to places like Outback steakhouse and Carrabas. I'm sure there will be a few "armchair pilots" to claim to know more than the r/w pilots, and will criticize the PMDG plane once it's out.

I take my hat off to PMDG - them having to endure this sort of thing every time!   Yet despite the circus around release date, they keep coming back for more  :LMAO:
