Way to turn a peaceful thread into a demonstration of your apparent superiority in judging people's worthiness of uttering their ideas.

 

It might have slipped your attention that this idea wasn't meant to be all too serious. I think people have long ago understood that PMDG is quite capable of deciding for themselves on how to proceed with the release of their own product.

 

But I'd be very interested in your list of people who have indeed made the cut and were given your permission to "whine about" the pending release. I do hope they got a grand ceremony because it's quite the life achievment to be granted such a privilege. But then again, I expect it to be very, very easy to find online. :-)

I think this thread shouldn't be seen to seriously. IMHO there isn't any serious point in discussing the timing of the release. It just seems to make us feel less alone in our agony when we can share the antici-pain-tion.

Just think in a couple years it will start all over again with the 747.

 

Two years ago we went through the same with the 737.

 

It a neverending cycle.

 

When will it be released?

Will this computer run 7xx?

Will 7Xx have wx radar?

 

And on and on and ......

 

 

yes of course. Got them quite some time ago, but being stuck at home unable to go to work for quite some time, and still for a little time, I've found plenty of time to go around them

Not really. While it might suggest otherwise, that suggestion is unfounded.

PMDG could stop with the 777 development at any moment, and none of us would have the right to try and force them back to their computers. People like to complain, it's in their nature. Just think about the umpteen conversations you probably had in your life about the weather... It's always too hot,dry,humid,rainy,cloudy,sunny,cold,...

And the wing flex one as well, ie wings dont flex enough.

 

Will the flat spots on the tires where they contact the ground be accurately modeled?

If there is some place I can get that, I'd be interested but I'm not sure those kind of things are easily available. But I'd believe it would be a price I won't afford So probably skip on that.

Not necessarily, I've seen people on the Beta team make a post that more or less boils down to the OP's.  We are all antsy in the pantsy over a new release to be sure.

We could start a slow hand clap.... B)

There's so much hype over this product, and potential users have built up in their minds what to expect, that I actually fear for the release.  Not for PMDG, 'coz their stuff is superb.  Our AVSIM lives are going straight to the 7th level of Dante's Hades.  Why?  Because a good half of those new users are gonna complain, and b!+ch, and whine about how this isn't right, or that sucks, or PMDG shoulda done it "this way", or whatever.

 

The complaining and back and forth and bickering among users will hit a new high, or low, whichever the rest of us see it.  But it will be ugly, methinks.  It will start with someone saying "this rocks", or "I just flew the Sydney route and it was awesome", and someone else will complain "yes, but (insert trivial complaint here)", and then it will be ON.  I'm sure that I could create some bizzare mathematical formula for it, but I think it will expand on an exponential level for sure.  Perish the thought.
