Just a quick question, i dont want to know about issues or bugs picked up, i just would like to know the following:

 

In regards to to the Ground Proximity System, Luke said he was quite shocked this morning when he turned it on and it looked different (i hope i understood him correctly), that was after Ryan and the dev's made some changes, now here my question.

 

Does the dev's as bugs or issues are fixed after reporting send service packs to the Beta Team on a periodic basis, so that all are on the same page at all times?

 

Just interesting thats all!

Any need to post this 6 times?! I think they all report back on issues then they get fixed and a new version is sent out to the team. I am not sure though - will wait for a beta member to reply

It seems that there is a problem with the system right now. Please be a little kinder in the future!

I think what happens is that when you hit submit the screen does nothing and then the poster hits it several more times which inadvertently causes duplicate posts. If nothing happens for awhile after you hit post the first time simply refresh the screen.

I wasnt unkind at all. Its not really a problem. When the error screen comes up it looks like it has not posted, but in fact it has. People need to be a bit more patient and go and check the forum before they keep resubmitting things 100 times.

I'd think that separate reworked files are sent out to the testers (hotfixes) to be installed manually (copy and replace). So, AFAIK, no servicepacks and no automatic installers (yet ...).

 

Probably there's also a place where the testers can download hotfixes from ("restricted area"). PMDG may send out a message like "terrain on ND reworked", but Luke may still have been stunned and surprised by the shear beauty of the current descent representation ...   :wub:
