I'm about 1 hour into a 15 hour flight from OMDB to KATL, as Delta 7.  Over the Persian Gulf at about 11:00pm local Kuwait time, and it's pitch dark outside.

Since I do not own the PMDG 777, consider this as me gatecrashing the party..........my PMDG 737-600 is currently parked at Gate 27, EGPF Glasgow. Next stop on my VFR tour of the UK is EGAA Belfast Aldergrove.

HEATHEN!!! :t0148:  LOL! Seriously though, the 737 is still a wonderful aircraft, I do fly it in between all the long hauls that I do with the 777.   You really should consider getting the 777 though, you won't be disappointed, even if you fly only the short haul flights!

Kind regards.

I just left DXB a couple of hours ago Dave, on way to Stockholm. Just doing a low level fly past CS headquarters in the Ukraine,  some guy waving a sign that reads, "Is your Vnav not working".

Mine is currently cold and dark at a remote stand at Brisbane. I've been flying heaps of circuits, getting used to the fly by wire and practicing those tricky landings.

Thanks,

Kevin L

I am really enjoying the 'short field' abilities of 777.   Here getting out of Victoria at MGTOW, which has a runway just a few feet shy of 7000'.  I was also able to just barely squeeze out of Queenstown NZ (~6300' runway) with full fuel (including full aux tanks) and 15% payload.   Getting out of short runways like that, then have the ability to fly half way around the globe is amazing.
