September 7, 201312 yr I don't know for your problem, but as far as the CFG is concerned, is missing one important parameter : [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 ( I suppose that you have Y/T off).
September 7, 201312 yr Author This is obviously not something very many people are experiencing. We have a lot of copies of this in circulation now and this is not an issue that is coming up in tickets. I would honestly suggest formatting or something like that - you have something very system specific and weird going on here. Yep it must be because it doesnt matter HOW or WHAT i tweak i NEVER go above 4fps even with tweaks the default glider gets 8 fps. I just wanna throw this piece of #¤%!% out the window. Y/T? i suppose you mean hyper threading? if it is i have it on. Kind regards Mattias Nordgren PRO-ATCX BETA TEAM

We could go into bios settings, voltages, ram timings, etc. But why if everything else runs fine, no bios tweaking should be needed, right PMDG? Chris Strobel KSNA

I would honestly suggest formatting or something like that - you have something very system specific and weird going on here. I do agree with you on that, however I haven't given up on finding some sort of link. Most users seem to get out better fps of the 777 than the NGX just off the box, but some do get considerably lower frames in the 777 for no obvious reason. I know one of the other guys with this issue was going to try a reformat and if that works I might go down that road, but at the moment I don't want to have to spend horus on reinstalling a program that works well with several other addons (including the PMDG NGX, MD11 and JS41). It might be random, and we may all just have to reformat, but so far I'm not convinced either way. Regards Johan Grauers
September 7, 201312 yr Author Hyper thread is off on mine. We could go into bios settings, voltages, ram timings, etc. But why if everything else runs fine, no bios tweaking should be needed, right PMDG? I followed a sample overclock that came with the CPU and it has been just fine since i bought the system 2-3 years ago running 60 degrees celcius at max power. It has been working fine for that long it went off the charts when i installed the T7 and THATS why i did a reinstall i thought that would cure the problem but it didnt. September 7, 201312 yr I formated my whole drive and are now installing a new FSX i post tomorrow evening on how it went. Kind regards Looks like you got a corrupt FSX install, a corrupt PMDG777 istall or a corrupt Win7 install. You realy should have a look at the guide (it was mentioned before) on how to install things correctly. I mean you said you are a novice right, so do you know: 1)Not to install FSX to its default location of program files? very important! 2)There are service packs (2) for FSX and that you have to install FSX, then run it, start a flight for just a second or so, then close FSX Then reboot PC. Then SP1, run FSX, start a flight, close FSX and reboot PC Then SP2 ditto! very very important. Or do you have FSX/Acceleration? pretty much the same. (acceleration will take care of both SP1 and SP2) 3)do you know you should allways install and run FSX related software as administrator (right mouseclick on the .exe) 4)Do you know you should always install with antivirus software off 5)Do you know not to add any tweaks to the .cfg file (no bufferpools, no affinitymask, nothing) but only those things that are recommened in the PMDG guide? Then see how it works...and then you can try tweaks and see if it helps or makes things worse! Not before you have even checked how FSX behaves! The lists goes on and on and on......You need to read before you do. FSX is not like installing a new racing game!! Take your time, read and plan your install. P.S. credit on the above info goes to the guide that was mentioned before in this thread, I am just passing on knowledge and invented nothing myself! EDIT: Also, I dont know if reinstalling FSX like you are doing even works. I mean you are not reinstalling Windows I think, are you? So maybe that leaves the old intact or traces of it anyway in the registry. Even settings may stay saved. I have seen that happen with other software. Maybe others know more about this, I am just saying....if you end up with the same problems.....maybe you need a new windows install. And in that case....definately read a guide on how to do that correctly! EDIT2: Oh, And I just found out that WinXP is not supported! Hope you are not using that. Rob Robson
September 7, 201312 yr You broke directx somehow. Something like this a hardware issue. Your video card isnt communicating correctly through directx to fsx. Did you let the directx installer run after the 777 was installed? You should and let it do it's thing. He reinstall of windows and fsx should fix. Make sure you do all that correctly. There are guides on installing windows and fsx correctly. NickN's bible for one. Brent Baker

Since he said he did a clean install, he may not have even installed his video drivers yet and using the default system drivers. That would explain the low fps
September 8, 201312 yr Just curious....what would happen if you turned off all your traffic settings. Meaning 0 airline traffic, 0 GA traffic, 0 ships, 0 cars, etc. those are real frame rate killers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Im not THAT novice what i meant by that was i dont know how to tweak FSX properly im 90% of the time using Bojotes tweaks as it does it automaticly for me. I have 2 harddrives 1 on 100 Gb SSD for Windows and the 2.nd for FSX is on 2 TB.s so i never install FSX on my windows disk. Yes i have FSX/Acceleration and windows why should i reinstall windows when its been working BEFORE the T7 maybe ur right but my guess is that something has happened with the installer for the T7 and it corrupted something. I could be wrong but hey im trying to reinstall again on a completeley clean harddrive. Kind regards Mattias Nordgren PRO-ATCX BETA TEAM
September 8, 201312 yr I dont know if something is wrong with your windows install. Could be though. But since reinstalling windows is a lot of work, I to would save that for last. Someone mentioned detrectX might be damaged. Of you still have problems after reinstalling FSX...then try reinstalling that. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Rob Robson
