As a starting point, it would be helpful if you posted your complete PC specs.

So you load up an airport and pick a heavy default FSX aircraft. Frame rate great but switch to 777 and it drops to 2fps?

Did you set display refresh rates to 15 on 777? Some of them are on unlimited by default, and this really help. But 2 fps, you probably have some more issues there

Great but didn't really answer my question I'm afraid. You need to do process of elimination to try and solve your issue.

Looking at your excellent specs, it sure isn't your PC. Having said that, my specs are very similar to yours and 0.4g lower on o/c I might add, yet I am getting slightly better than NGX performance with my T7.

There is obviously something else at play here. I don't think I would be trying anymore reinstalls of the T7, or you will just eat up your activations and be into support requests.

Other than setting up FSX as per the guide in the FSX forum here on AVSIM, using one of the well known tweaking guides such as Word Not Allowed's or Venatubo (don't know if I spelt that right) and then following the set up guide that came with you T7, I am a bit puzzled myself.

I don't know as this is a ticket problem, but maybe Ryan might help you and of course, there are a lot of very much smarter than me guys on this forum that might chime in.

I have applied Kostas and Ryans Nvidia guide and it bought me another 1 fps

So i now have 3.2 fps in VC mode i havent even started to building up my addons yet just fresh install did those tweaks and installed the T7 and its not going anywhere.I just want to thow out the whole computer through the window right now something messed up my FSX and/or Computer BIG time.

Give your system a little time to settle. Reboot a few times, or even turn off and back on. Stay at one airport so the FSX cache isn't continually grinding through the hard drive trying to optimize a zillion scenery texture files. Defrag your hard drive, run chkdsk /F even. Repair Simconnect and make sure your .NET Framework is up to date.

It's not the add-on, that's for sure.

Mattias, Since your reinstall of FSX and the T7, before you add anything else, have you reinstalled the NGX and fired it up at exactly the same location as your T7 to see what you get?

I did a reformat of windows and put the 777 back on... clean install, every slider set to low in FSX... 9 fps. I used to get 15-20 in the NGX....

Yes i did that yesterday and it was almost the same i had after reinstall about 7 fps in the NGX but 2 in the T7.

So now i am doing some checks as previous posters have said but still no joy.

There's another thread on this very same issue entitled "FPS, what FPS do you get?" that's worth a look. I don't have the T7 yet but plan on purchasing soon. As has been stated, I suspect your problem is related to an internal setting within the PMDG 777 program itself so I would go that route prior to making changes to your basic setup if its running everything else well.
