September 8, 201312 yr Wow, The tone here is disturbing. What are these forums for if people are going to get grief for asking questions? From the sound of it, this place is loaded with self righteous, type rated, real world 777 pilots. Let's all just smile and be helpful. September 8, 201312 yr The OP is using XP 64bit. There are people elsewhere that swear on not leaving that platform, believing that it was the right OS where FSX was coded on before Windows 7 came along. To the OP: your system is way too good to be still running XP 64, please move up and help yourself. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS

Cheers, Todd At some point you have to hold people responsible for themselves. The same questions get asked over and over and over.....information is readily available in a plethora of places; the search bar, the documentation that comes with the product (and the intro manual, the most BASIC of things to read), and the product page that shows limitations of hardware and recommended specs. If a person chooses to ignore all that and open more threads on duplicate topics that have been thoroughly discussed already, I have no sympathy. All this isn't direct at just the OP, it's more of "in general", although he bought something for an OS that was listed as NOT SUPPORTED then claims what he has are bugs at the fault of the developer. French or not, that's not a language barrier problem, sorry. AJ Pongress
September 8, 201312 yr I agree with hontzt. The OP obviously made a mistake (and that cost him quite some $$ by the way). Instead of just giving him only the information he asked for, some people here feel the need to lecture him about it in a tone that is far from being acceptable. What kind of person has the need to pi## off others who look for advise on an internet forum? You are customers just like anybody else, not the forum police or the PMDG army. Markus Richter
September 8, 201312 yr "What kind of person has the need to pi## off others who look for advise on an internet forum? " People who are p%#%#d of people asking same questions all over again without ever reading product descriptions or manuals which are supplied with the product! How frustrated would you be answering same questions over and over again? It only shows that some people are too lazy to use search or read the manuals. Thats sad. I agree with AJ. Mikael Leinonen
September 8, 201312 yr Forums equal religion, for some people. Don't ever dare asking a question that was discussed 200.000 pages before. People get offended. Hey, that's what they do. They spend their entire free time playing with the keybord, of course they have no sympathy for people coming here not willing to read the entire forum before asking for some help. And shame on them, maybe they have a life too!!! Now reply to this: Does it take more time and effort to just say "hey buddy, get yourself Win7 and you're done" Or pouring down some 15 raws of angry words to tell people off? What really put me off, though, is when I see the same kind of attitude from the software support team. I would expect a bit more professionalism from them but hey, don't ever mess with religion! <p>Francesco

At what point do you hold anyone responsible for their actions? Should we hold peoples hands constantly? At some point they have to learn from their mistakes. People genuinely want to help others but when its the same stupid questions or threads, over and over it becomes aggravating. 2D panels? Weather Radar? EFB? Just do a search and see how many of those there are. I bet there will still be another thread started about one of those subjects in the next 2 days. I would say day but since it's released people have found other things to complain about. In this case the OP didn't look at the system requirements? Oh lets hold is hand and make him feel all better. Richie Walsh
September 8, 201312 yr Ok folks a respectful reminder. I understand the energy around this topic and I have myself answered the same questions over and over again. One of the rules of the forum is to be respectful of each other. This is a place for supportive and helpful discussion. Our shared hobby is very complex and not always intuitively obvious. This happens at every release and is expected. Lets bring this one to a close and move on. George Morris
