Quit simple question..

 

Why no word on whats going on with the 777...From an outsiders view (me, not owning it yet), it looks like there are an awfull lot of problems reported by multiples of users.

I've looked, searched, googled but nothing has been said on the matter. And i believe there is one. (albeit a BIG ''one''.)

 

So why the silence?

 

Have no douts there working on it, and probably hard at it too, but some word on it would be nice, if possible.

So there's a sticky at the top of the 777 forum explaining that they're working on the reported issues that's been updated a couple times.  Additionally, a couple members of the team have been responding directly to some of the posts they're coming across.

 

No need to add extra drama to the situation with conspiracy theories, or anything of that matter.

It just came out and most of, if not all of the problems I hear about are due to people not taking the time to read the manual.

I've been using mine extensively for the past week and found no issues apart from a download error in the operations centre. Nothing directly related to the aircraft though.

ahh, right you are. looking again i see it, but in my defence, JUST BEFORE making this thread i DID look for something on the matter, and mistook the ''tracking issue'' for the heading thread i was reading the other day..a simple mistake.no drama mate...

Well, you must have done as i did when first searching the forum for it, as you seem to have missed that i have said that i missed it already...

Yes there is a big one. It's called read the Introduction and fly tutorial #1 and search the FCOM's. There is nothing to say except RTFM.

There are three large stickied posts at the top of this forum - 1 with cataloged acknowledged issues with the airplane and the OC, 1 with the details of OC livery updates and 1 asking for details of problems with version 1.5 of the OC (it's been updated 5 times already since release a week and a half ago)

 

A lot of these issues are extremely sporadic/random and hard to get a handle on (like the thing with the sim freezing for a few minutes and then resuming). Programming requires a bug to be reproducible or at the very least traceable back to some specific system in the code for us to have any idea of what's going on. We can't just magically fix an issue instantly because a few people report some vague thing going wrong.
