No trim sound?

Featured Replies

We all know the NGX and its real-world counterpart have got trimming sound. But why doesn't the PMDG 777 have it? As far as I've seen real 777s do have it. It sounds a bit like hydraulics, and the 747 has it as well and IMO it sounds very very cool and it's pity that we don't have it.

For your interest, you can hear the sound at 0:56 and at 3:02. At 3:41 I'm not sure where that's the trim or the spoilers.
Anyway, is this sound from the trim? If so, why wasn't it implemented?

Those re the pilots adjusting their seats. The seats are electrically movable for position by the pilot. All your hearing is that small motor.

There is no sound for trim in the 777 unless your using the alternate lever for trim.

Safe & smooth flying,

Aaaah, they seem to be doing that all the time!

Is the taxi camera that replaces the ND shown in this video modeled?

Trim on the 777 is 100% electronic/electric - there is no wheel to spin and make noise.

There's a noise when the autothrottle servo engages at TO/GA press - we have that.

That only exists on the 300ER.

I don't really know which flies higher in this forum. The Triple 7 or some of the noses here.

Wow.
