Razbam metroliner tomorrow?

Featured Replies

Just got it, and agree with others that the VC textures and detail are very very good.  Many switches and levers do not work yet or or not animated.  But assume that will be taken care of in the final version.  Btw, I cannot find the avionics master switch.  Can anyone who has this plane help and point out where it is?

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

Sorry for asking stupid things but was it planned to be in the beta status? I thought that the release would mean.. release.   Either way, encouraging reviews so far, lets hope the plane becomes complete soon.

Yes, that plan was announced a few weeks ago.

That clears it up. So I've misread the announcement and thought that the final ship will arrive. Thanks for the info and keep on reporting.

I have found it:  it's to the right of the throttle quadrant and not visible from the pilot's view unless you slde to the right.

Hi All!

Yeah, she needs some tweaking and TLC, but she IS here! My 2nd favorite turboprop of all time, and developed by one of the best names in the business! A welcomed and refreshing break from the "New tubeliner of the hour" stuff of late. I heard about the Razbam Metro project due to an error in reporting elsewhere on the web. I read an article about Razbam having an Embraer 120 in progress and nearing completion, actually. Well, I went bonkers at that point. My ALL TIME favorite turboprop (I used to fly a private one owned by a company in North Carolina) But, after more research and putting the Razbam site under the microscope for a bit, I discovered it HAD to be the Metro, somebody goofed. Alas, this slender nimble beauty put on offer for our simming pleasure today still suits me However, I wonder if any of you other owners might help me with something...Was there ANY documentation released with the beta? I can't find it anywhere to save my soul. Not in the install directory, no desktop icon to lead me to it, nothing. So, am I overlooking it? Looking for something that didn't get installed because it doesn't exist? ANY input from you all would be GREATLY appreciated, as it appears Santa Claus got a little confused or ahead of schedule yesterday and left a pair of 2 Gig Nvidia GTX 760s at my door. Haven't been able to install them yet, as a matter of fact it's up next on the "To Do" list. Wanted to pose the question of the "Missing Manuals" before I got into that and then wasn't seen or heard from for a bit. Would be cool for the Metro's maiden flight AND that of the SLI'ed GTX 760s were one in the same! Thanks once again and in advance for help with my query. May your logbooks always contain the proper ratio of take offs to landings,

Robert

I thought the plan was to release the beta with "90% of the VC working". I thought I heard that on FB.

Oh well, glad I saved some money with the preorder discount and I am excited to see the end product.

Thank you Nathan, I couldn't begin to guess the last time I even logged onto facebook was. Besides, push the stick forward, the houses get bigger, pull the stack back the houses get smaller. That should get me through the weekend...  Cheers!

Hello,

Just curious, how does the Metro compare to the PMDG J41? Razbam is marketing this as a "deep systems sim" so IMO the most direct comparison would be the Jetstream, given that they both have the same Garrett engines.

With the PMDG product you can quite easily overtemp and destroy the engines if operated incorrectly.

I have had the PMDG J41 for several months now and bought the Razbam Metroliner beta version last Friday.  At this point I think we would have to say that we don't know.  The PMDG J41 is clearly a high definition deep systems aircraft, and perhaps the Razbam Metroliner will be as well, but the beta has so many non-functioning systems that it this point we don't know.  The VC looks great, perhaps better than the J41, but most of the systems are not operable in the beta version.  There have been many comments and helpful suggestions from the beta users over the weekend, and hopefully the Razbam team is now in the process of addressing these and the final aircraft will be one that we would all wish to fly.
