Guys, remember that PFPX was NOT made for FSX, specifically.  It's a fuel planner that calculates based on real world data.  If the aircraft developer then uses real world data in creating its aircraf

Update:

Just finished formatting all of the data in the Dropbox link.  The file looks to be complete, with the exception of the CRUISE data.  Once I get that data, I'll format it, toss it in the file, and then post it here for testing.  Once it's all tested up, I'll put it up in the AVSIM file library.

(Thanks to mas618 and SAS1629 for their work in collecting the boat load of data!  Not that it's a ton of recognition, but you've been commented into the final file should anyone open the base data.)

Excellent news Kyle! Real life is really taking its time these days, for both John and I, so we're not cruising as much as one could hope, but we'll get there! Within a month should be realistic, given the current pace...

It has for me, too.  No worries.  Take care of those who need to be taken care of first!

Will do!

Hey guys, thanks for your time and for the effort, getting proper data in PFPX for the J41 will be great fun. The J have been a bit neglected by me lately but this will certainly make me go back.

Cheers,

No problem! Cruise is going forward, ISA 20 and 15 are done, and John is working his way up from isa -10... A couple of weeks should be enough to complete. Check the progress https://docs.google....sp=docslist_api

Nicely done!

I'll throw it in the profile and start running it through PFPX to see how it does.  I'll post a link here to the files so that those here can download them and give them a "beta" test, if you will.

Just remember that, if you're flying in conditions for which we do not have data (I'll make a note of what cruise versions are currently in the files when I post them), the calculations will be slightly off.  There's no need to post discrepancies in those cases.

Great! Getting closer;-)

  • 2 weeks later...

Small setback on the schedule - can't really get much flying done atm - not forgotten, just not attended to right now. Just for info;-)

  • 3 weeks later...

Still not forgotten, but my 3 month old son is definitely not being helpful these days... Not even mentioning my 3 year old daughter... And my wife... Sigh.. Wife and kids do not mix well with this hobby...

Hi,

Is there a basic profile out yet?

Is there a basic profile out yet?

I'd say they're still working on it.

Ok, i will do the cruise info, i can get this done by the end of the week. Can you let me know if anyone else is going this please, i do not want to  waste my time with duplicate work.

Thanks all

Craig, sorry for my late answer, I guess the notification system here at AVSIM failed me. Do you have the link for the spreadsheet? Both me and John have started to collect cruise data at 98% condition (me from 20 ISA and John from - 10 ISA), so be sure to check out which ISAs would be relevant for you. You'll find the spreadsheet here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AuwEGRHd1E2jdHNySFdoY1N5bm1EMnhQTVpQQV82c1E&usp=drive_web

If you have any questions on how to collect the data, let me know. I'm still severely grounded on account of my youngest kid, so any help to get this done would be great! I know Kyle has pulled the trigger on compiling the climb/descent data into a profile, and if we can just get cruise data on 98 % condition, we would have usable profile.

I THINK Kyle is also extremely busy testing for PMDG (the weather radar) so he can't compile the data the very moment we get it done...

Check out how we differentiate on Vmo and EGT limit when determining the max FF on a given weight/FL/ISA.
