October 18, 201312 yr Thanks a lot for the head's up! The terrain do look better IMO, and the bloom effect is awesome! Ebbe Poulsen
October 25, 201312 yr Version 1.2.0.3• The 'Copilot' function is fixed. Copilot off will turn off all active Autopilot functions, turning Copilot on will set current heading and altitude as new values.• The Controller window has two new functions for showing the flight-information and the moving map• Fixed a bug, that aerofly FS is running in compatiblity mode on Windows 8.1• Fixed a few bugs regarding the challenges• Fixed a performance problem on older NVIDIA cards• The terrain quality settings have an additional option for low end 3D cards. Please check your settings again after installing this update. Those patches look very exciting. I've got to pick this up sometime.
October 26, 201312 yr I am enjoying these latest versions, ad actually using Aerofly again :-) Looking forward for the JustFlight offers ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 28, 201312 yr All good things. Trying not to sound greedy but I wish we could drag the moving map (GPS) off the main display to another screen. Moe
October 31, 201312 yr I also have started using AeroFS more often now. I like the direction they are heading. And yes, having the map display on another screen would be very nice. Steve
October 31, 201312 yr Hi Steve, great to see you around here too :-) 1.2.0.3 is already available. Really enjoying this great sim ! It reminds me a lot of MS FLIGHT :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 31, 201312 yr Yes, I just wish that the ground detail was better as in MSFlight. I am still a low and slow guy. Steve
November 1, 201312 yr Yes, I just wish that the ground detail was better as in MSFlight. I am still a low and slow guy. +1, although the approaches are completely different, based in synthetic vs ortho-photo based sceneries... High resolution photographic scenery would cost IPACS a fortune and users huge space on disk... Using it with X-Plane 10 made me restrict that type of scenery to selected areas around the places where I fly for real... Weather interaction with scenery is also something we simply did not have in MS FLIGHT :-/ and is very well done in Aerofly FS! November 1, 201312 yr Can anybody post screenshots of the improved terrain rendering and bloom effect?
November 2, 201312 yr Can anybody post screenshots of the improved terrain rendering and bloom effect? This is the bloom effect in aeroflyFS, looks nice. Steve
November 6, 201312 yr Anybody figure out how to select the heading, altitude, or VSI in the autopilot? I downloaded the manual again and the latest one seems the same as the old. As for the auto pilot it seems to work just as it did befor for me only nor it skips from off to the old mode 2 and the mode 1 is gone. Moe
December 4, 201312 yr Aerofly has a long way to go before it can be considered a serious flight simulator. No problem...I'll wait. I accept it for what it is currently: super fun, eye candy flying. If I want to show off my sim to someone not familiar with the hobby I will load up Aerofly FS and let them have at it. If a fellow real world pilot comes by then i load up FSX to give them a taste of just how procedurally accurate the simulator is.
