GeForce ShadowPlay Beta!

Small correction. You do not need to have GE running in your taskbar.. you just launch it, turn ON ShadowPlay and close the app. In-game tap the hot-key and it's working.

Here's a video example someone made (not fsx) watch in 1080p of course:

A question to those that have it working. Is there an option to hide the mouse cursor like you can in FRAPS? Because if you cant then it makes certain FSX movie style panning shots useless.

If you can hide the cursor I`m sold on it and will have to upgrade my 580 after Christmas.

Works with other games here, but not with FSX, the icon doesn't show up on the corner.

Ahhh... I just had this eureka moment... you're probably running FSX without AERO re-enabled. Re-enable Aero while FSX is running and try again. I'd almost bet it will then work for you! :)

Maybe it has something to do with Windows 8? I tried your suggestion creating a .bat file, but it doesn't seem this Aero Re-start works in Windows 8 :/

Google around, see if there's a solution. Hopefully there is.

Thanks Adi appreciated :)

It will currently show the cursor, but it's a matter of time until they evolve the beta and add this rather simple feature. I'd not hold your upgrade just for that... jumping every second gen is the most ideal move you can do imo.

Works fine here! Very minimal performance loss. I didn't need to do anything special (Aero is completely disabled on my PC) to get it to work except run FSX in fullscreen.

I do agree they need to add the hide cursor option though.

Thanks for the info mate, appreciated. Yeah bout time I upgraded the MB the CPU and the memory, although this i72600k has ran 4.45ghz for the last two and a bit years faultlessly I feel I`m missing out now. Not really for FSX but for video rendering and other apps.

Doesn't work with DX9 for me, works brilliantly with DX10. Here's a quick video to prove it...

ShadowPlay video...

It didn't work in the windows mode but it worked fine in full screen mode for me.  Running Windows 8.  No hits on frame rates, and great quality.  I tried it in another program, Farming Simulator 2013, but it didn't work.

Working perfectly here with W7 x64 and FSX with DX 9.0 mode. The only problem i have found is the Wide screen is a bit weird with Windows Media Player.

Thanks NVIDIA. Fantastic gift.

Best.

Miquel.

Wow... This thing is a mistery. Working in DX10 here... Really didn't want to use FSX in DX10.
