October 28, 201312 yr Thought everyone might be interested in this news! Nvidia has announced the price of its new graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti, will be $699 when it hits shops on 7 November. The new card - the specs of which still haven't been revealed - will come in above the GTX 780 so accordingly that card will be getting a price cut, dropping from $649 to $499. Likewise the GTX 770 will drop from $399 to $329. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2013/10/28/nvidia-geforce-gtx-780-ti-price-and-release/1 B. P.S. Well looks like I was right and wrong. GTX780 Ti is higher priced, but GTX 780 (regular version) gets a nice price cut. Glad I did not get a new system yet! October 28, 201312 yr Thank you AMD! This price drop on the 780 has put that card back on my mind. $650 was a bit too steep for me, so I was planning to go with the 770. But now instead of taking the savings on a reduced 770, I think I can stretch the budget an extra $100 and go for the 780 at $500. Andrew Farmer My flight sim blog: Fly, Farmer, Fly!

October 28, 201312 yr WTH...Nvidia keeps jacking up their prices more and more. This will bite them in the arse in the end. Totally agree... I am an Nvidia supporter but some of the prices recently have been utter insanity. AMD is going to steal some business if they don't lay off on the obscene pricing scheme.
October 31, 201312 yr Totally agree... I am an Nvidia supporter but some of the prices recently have been utter insanity. AMD is going to steal some business if they don't lay off on the obscene pricing scheme. They already sort of have. 3 years ago the steam hardware survey showed ATI with less than 20 percent of the share of all computers logging on to steam. Now they have over 30 percent last I looked. With this aggressive pricing and closer relationships with game developers I believe this trend will continue to shift in AMD's favor.
November 1, 201312 yr With this aggressive pricing and closer relationships with game developers I believe this trend will continue to shift in AMD's favor. I sure hope so. I am fed up with the corporate greed. Pricing it at $600+ is preposterous. Sad that there are enough fab0is around that will willingly burn their money on something as petty as a graphics card.
