December 24, 201312 yr Same problem Stone, can't get it opened. I'm going to try to try 0.7.3 to see if that one still works. That's the only one I remember getting to open and work successfully. If that one doesn't work and no one else has problems opening 9.1 then perhaps there is still a problem.

December 24, 201312 yr Author Panda, can you see if you are getting the same error? Also, make sure you reboot after the install.

December 24, 201312 yr Still seems to think it needs Alaska. It backs up and modifies the FileLocator in the Flight root directory alright, but the new FileLocator in the DLC folder doesn't get any imports for the new content. Edit: It was working. Managed to get the trike from FSX converted as a test (although the exterior didn't show), but on consequent launches of the tools would crash. I removed the files from the trike conversion, so I think it might be getting hung up trying to load previous settings or something. December 24, 201312 yr Author Did you have an addon installed, and then try to open the same addon in the builder again? Bad things will probably happen if you do that. Edit: I just tried it and I don't see anything bad happening, but it is hard to say. I should probably change the tools to ignore the installed version of the addon that you are working on in the addon builder. Can you describe your scenario that is causing the crash in more detail?

December 25, 201312 yr Well I did manage to get 7.3 running well so it is not an issue with my PC I think. Checking the event viewer they are the same errors.
December 25, 201312 yr Author Ok I probably won't be able to look into it any more for a few days, but you could try to install this and see if it fixes your problems running the builder: http://flighttoolkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/vcredist_x86.zip
December 25, 201312 yr Commercial Member Do you know which aircraft? The default Mooney Bravo is one of them. I've had it happen with a couple of add-on aircraft as well. If I take the model and textures from my freeware Bell 206 and replace them with those of an airplane that converts properly, it will throw the same error. Brandon Filer
December 25, 201312 yr I still can't get the addon builder to start up. When I double click the application, the process comes up, then disappears in the task manager. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
December 25, 201312 yr Commercial Member On a happy note, the Piper Cub from FSX converts rather well (minus gauges obviously). With a little hand tweaking, I was able to make the glass on both the exterior and interior transparent. This is quite fun to just fly around. Fantastic work, Stonelance! I look forward to the future improvements to the conversion process. Brandon Filer
December 25, 201312 yr I was able to get the builder open as well. Fantastic work stonelance! Thanks!
