December 31, 201312 yr I own the CS 757, and have for many years, probably since it came out, is it still the only complex version of this aircraft out there? Has anyone else other than Quality Wings done it? I'm aware of LDS 767, but I am looking for a 757. Again the question is, are there any other options? Or should I just reinstall the CS?
December 31, 201312 yr The only two options are the CS or the QW. LD said that they were making a 757, but that was years ago, and it looks like it is not worth waiting for it. The QW one is on sale right now for 20 dollars, so now would be the time to pick it up. Ryan L.
December 31, 201312 yr I have both the CS and the QW. I suggest you buy QW version as well, as it is on sale for 20 bucks. Qw one has a relatively good autoland, whereas the cs one has not. The two disadvantages however on the qw however is, that is a light version of such an airplane and the graphics are outdated. But, I think you will have a nice fleet by having both of them. As for leveld, I think it will be released when hell freezes over. No 757 options besides these one relatively prolevel. December 31, 201312 yr If you own X-Plane, it might be worth looking at Flightfactor (although I understand that this is the FSX forum, so you probably don't) --Peter Fabian
December 31, 201312 yr Commercial Member I too vote for getting QW, I find it a lot more enjoyable to fly than the CS one... It has rather good feel with its flight dynamics & sound set is awesome.
December 31, 201312 yr I own both the CS and QW 757. I think the QW is a much better aircraft, but I like system depth and being more involved in the setup and shutdown procedures of the aircraft and since the QW is a light you don't get to do as much of that. I use both from time to time but I find myself using the CS more often just because I can do more in it, however, the QW is still excellent and worth the $20. I was really hoping a high quality developer like PMDG would come out with a 757 especially since the competition for a realistic 757 for FSX is pretty low and they are very common aircraft in the real world and operated by so many airlines. December 31, 201312 yr The Qw is far from a 'lite' plane. I have both the CS and QW 75's and as much as I like the CS, I dont remember the last time I flew it, the QW has replaced it Jay
December 31, 201312 yr I have merged the QW 757 with the Level-D and it works okay for my needs, the only thing that isn't accurate is the aircraft behaves more like a 767.. If you want a perfect simulation though than this might not be appropriate. Picking anything else for me will result in a compromise (CS has poorer systems etc) Lawrence Ashworth
December 31, 201312 yr Author So I reinstalled the CS 757, it used to be my favorite aircraft years ago (being the only real complicated plane i knew about at the time for fsx) and surprisingly on my 2011 pc, it is actually not that frame rate guzzling as it used to be. Haven't flown it at all yet, but should be fun. Amazing that I remember what to do with the systems after at least a year of not flying the thing.
