Free Internet? Maybe Not - At Least in the U.S.

The companies have been chipping away and chipping away at the internet for years, and even when consumers win, the companies just spend millions and millions to revisit the issue repeatedly until they get what they want.

Consumers fighting this have to win every time. The companies usually only have to win once.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

With ISP lobbyist paying congressman. Im sure it will be allowed. Corruption and corporate greed!

If you look at what we pay for what we get, 'Muricans are being ripped off by "American" corporations left and right. All in service of the almighty dollar.

I love my country, but I loath my government - it is a government of the 1-percent to benefit the 1-percent.

We have become a nation of sheep, ruled by wolves, owned by pigs.

Trust Verizon to bribe Congress and totally disregard the public. This is why the Texas DPS can't get a law banning texting while driving. Our bought Governor won't stand for it.

And it's the same sad state of affairs in Germany and the European Union: Wolves paying pigs as their front men. (And German Chancellor "Angie" as their front woman.)

I agree with the country part, but it's now all about political parties and power.  Look at how both parties are pandering to illegals - it's about demographics and votes, not about what's good for the country.

I don't consider the Internet to be free.  I pay for it every month on my cable bill.  And, "Net Neutrality" isn't about paywalls, it's about bandwidth and giving preferential treatment to some customers.

Someone has to pay for the infrastructure going into customer premises.  Either the customer, or the CDN providers on the edge.

We are already paying for it.
