January 23, 201412 yr I want to practice manual landing with my pmdg aircraft, and I tried FSinstant approach but it doesn't seem compatible with PMDG aircraft, so I figure the next best thing would be a short route that works with all the PMDG aircraft? I've got the 737,47,77,the JS41, and, the MD11. All I really want to work on is the landing portion I'd really like a route that would work well for all 5 of those. I'm asking here, because if there is another option I'd like to know. Patrick Boynton
January 23, 201412 yr I just use traffic pattern, or fly direct to IAF and then fly whole approach manually. Usually just a few Touch and goes, gradually reducing visibility or increasing wind after every landing (depending what I want to practice) Lj. January 26, 201412 yr I am currently beta testing a program called FSiPanel. www.fsipanel.com It is made to practice landings in diffrent configurations. Very easy to use. it will be released very shortly. Works with PMDG 737, 777, 747. and iFly 737 and Level-D 767.
February 25, 201412 yr FSiPanel is released and will let you practice as many approaches as you like within seconds, Check it out. www.fsipanel.com J-P Edited February 25, 201412 yr by Winglet74
February 25, 201412 yr you can also fly to an airport and at several points before the landing save the simulation. You can start over and over again. regards, Eric Eric van Dorp
February 25, 201412 yr I've used Lord of Landings many time with PMDG and it works fine. Freeware, too.
February 25, 201412 yr I've used Lord of Landings many time with PMDG and it works fine. Freeware, too. I'm using FSiPanel and loving it. It is very quick to set up an approach, and FSiPanel puts the PMDG aircraft into a perfect configuration for landing. All I have to do is go into the FMS and select the airport and runway. Everything else is ready, just as if I had made the full flight, but I can do approach, after approach, after approach, in very short order. Also, FSiPanel will set up any weather that I want to tackle along with engine failures. I can even, very easily, change the weather during the approach. I have not explored all of its capabilities yet, but so far I'm really enjoying what FSiPanel brings to my FSX experience. I'm finding that it is very solid working software. After a long flight, no one wants to practice a "go around", but now with this software, I can very conveniently include practicing go arounds with my approaches, without adding it to an already long flight. For me, FSiPanel is well worth the money. Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
February 26, 201412 yr I join on the positive track , as this software have very useful tool to train as the real pilot do on simulator. On a future update they will implement a score to check your skill and add other aircraft.
