February 10, 200521 yr The coming soon logo was not deleted.I suggest you take a few steps back from your anticipation and stop seeing little things like short website outages as signs of imminent release.
February 10, 200521 yr I'm not saying it is a sign of imminent release, but the "Coming soon" sticker on the main page is definitely gone. Probably means that they finally are admitting it's not coming soon at all!! :-lol

I have no problem waiting , it makes the end result much better, however, one should avoid giving estimates in this business. I'll bet the LDS team squirmed while reading Steve's post regarding the release. That's what worries me about this FS thing becoming commercial, pressure on the developers. If it's summer it's summer. It will be great!

It will be great!Thats Right......Blame it On Steve Halpurn........Jeez.....the LEVELD Team never asked Steve for a retraction to that date and THEY themselves have/had suggested other release dates, if I remember after they said they would not meet the Fall/Autumn deadline they then went and said MID JANUARY(remember)at least now they have learned their lesson not to suggest a date or time frame and locked there forum up from further critisizm.Why would you want to release a manual without a completed product anyway....If it is not ready then the manual could be filled with inaccuracys.As far as waiting longer makes it a better product!!!!!.....that is true until it is installed on a machine outside of the BETA team.
February 10, 200521 yr About a month ago, one of the developers (Wade) stated that "barred they would drop dead...it is a matter of weeks". Therefore, I expect some news, development now. Also, the logo on the main page of their site "coming soon" has been deleted. Who knows why. Imminent release? Or, major delay?It would be amazing if the team would just update us , as to what stage the sim is now. For instance, beta testing over? Release candidate out? February 10, 200521 yr If you don't like the topic than I'd suggest you simply don't read it. Just because you don't like what's being discussed doesn't mean that others shouldn't be allowed to have the discussion in the first place.Obviously handing out release dates prior to when it's set in stone is risky to say the least in the software business. I very much look forward to it coming out, but will patiently wait until it's ready. People often clamor for a quicker release and then complain when it has been released too soon and not tested thoroughly enough. I'll wait for a solid product myself. :) - Aaron
