I see no reason not to have respect for Jack. I would have respect for him, even without the 'Corporal'.

And no matter how ridiculously high my own no. of titles, ranks, services, tours and degrees is - it doesn't compromise my respect for other people.

I respect people who don't have either a title, or a rank or a degree at all. I even respect people who never did military service (gasp!). Because that's not what respect is all about (if you would like to think about it for a minute ...).

 

FYI: My post you quoted was in response to Chris Sunseri. Chris and I have a joke running about when I will disclose my real name and what my real name could actually be. My post you quoted combines this running gag with making puns of aviation terms (the youtube clip being rather geared to civil aviation, actually) like 'clearance', 'vector, 'roger' etc. So, no disrespect intended.

To borrow a line from Jim Skorna's signature block "laugh often", that sums me up pretty well.  Ollie's posts dating way back to the Boris Becker days (remember PMDG's 777-200BB version lol) led me to the conclusion that there was another guy on AVSIM with a personality similar to myself.  The public banter between the two of us is harmless and I would never intend to berate another person here.  When I saw the Corporal in front of Jack's name it brought back the memories of 21 years in the Air Force (right on Ron!) and actually meeting a person with the last name of Lieutenant.  Of course there were many more people with the last name of Sargent!
