What FS9 Airport YOU really want developed?

Recommended Posts

"Not bad". Gosh, I'll try not to get a swelled head.

KBOI is indeed out of date. Large airports change all the time. It's very time consuming to make an airport, even mediocre free ones like mine, and It would be impossible for me to keep going back and updating every one I've made. I also increasingly get the feeling that FS9 is a dead fish. The number of downloads I get when I post an airport is just a small fraction of what it was a few years ago. It's harder to stay motivated to share what I make. If I could afford a better computer I'd upgrade to Prepar3D or X-Plane, and leave the scenery designing chores to someone else.

We need freeware guys like you in the P3D world as well. Hopefully you can convert some of your work over and see how many downloads you'd get.

I'm completely ignorant about FSX and Prepar3D and have no idea what would be involved in converting FS9 scenery to work on them. Every now and then someone who does have that knowledge will ask my permission to convert this or that scenery. I always tell them to feel free to convert whichever of my scenery they want to, as long as I'm given credit for the original work, of course. I wish I had a bag of cash and could buy a new computer capable of running the more current simulators, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. My dream is to be able to buy a simulator that has good enough default scenery that I can stop making scenery altogether.

For me my top 5 are:

YSSY (Sydney)- Still not confirmed if flytampa are doing a version for this platform

LTBA (Istanbul)- hopefully the possible success of KMCO by Taxi2gate prompts them to release this version in FS9

NZAA (Auckland) - I no never going to happen on this platform but a true missing link in Australasia

YPPH (Perth) - I know we have a version in VOZ but after the upgrades that are currently going on there would be good to see this given the appropriate treatment especially with the international airline growth!!

OMAA (Abu Dhabi) - We have the home of Emirates why not the home of Etihad!! LOL. This would just complement Dubai immensely, especially if it was done with the quality of Fly Tampa's version (Just imagine that approach as you fly over Yas Marina and Ferrari world!!)

WADD (WRRR Bali) Not so much the scenery as there is a really good version of this available by BDO but more that I so badly want AES on it LOL (Ive asked, ticked it when people have requested it but Oliver just hasn't given it a response!!)

I guess being from Australia you get an idea on my selection but with the majority of Aussies and Kiwis switching to FSX since the start of Orbx I know that it'll probably go untouched in the future (plus its an old platform with maybe little money return?)

Sometimes I wish I was a little more skilled at model designing......
