What are the best Virtavia planes?

X2 on the T-34C Turbo Mentor. Just be careful not to make a hard landing, the tyres can, no...will, burst!

Oh that sounds like fun! :He He: Will go for the T-34 while it is still on offer!

Grab the b-29.

Agreed. It's not perfect, but it looks good enough, and is a lot of fun. The interior is Virtavia's best to date, without a doubt.

I was close on the c-17, but saw some threads on here from years ago, that did not highly recommend. ... B-29 I was tempted as well, but the youtube videos.. the cockpit just looked so old graphics wise.. been getting spoiled by  my Realair/Milviz/PMDG, etc....

The cockpit modelling is actually not bad at all. You can read my review on ADX, google for it. Also, they just released a 1.1 where they fixed a few graphical issues.

I think you may have seen some videos with A2A/Shockwave B-29.. and that one is really outdated.

A cool old shot I made with the b-29:

Took the B-29 up for a quick spin tonight from Logan (was really fogged in, so couldn't see anything once I took off).. But it looks like it could be some fun.. definitely worth the 14 bucks and Change from 50% sale and PcAviator's 10% Tuesdays..

No it's not like the A2A B-17.. but then it didn't cost much either, so definitely money well spent.

But I do love my B-17 though as well ^_^

lots of new touches like this on the Turbo Mentor. Try taking it up to angels 11 with the oxygen turned off, or laying on the brakes on landing

Ah yes, I'd forgotten about panic breaking...Like, DON'T

What the Mentor does very well, is make you plan your landings a little lot more carefully.

Well don't mention angels 11 or even breaking -  I didn't even make it is far as starting the engine without causing an engine fire! Will teach me to read the manual next time! I can see this will be a challenge but bring it on!

It wont replace the A2A B-17 in my affections either, but as an alternative that's a bit simpler for a quick flight, its ideal. The B-29 is probably my favourite aircraft in history, and despite the obvious shortcomings, I think Virtavia made a good fist of it. It bodes well for their forthcoming Avro Lincoln.

Never bought a military aircraft nor vintage historical but as the deal and comments here were awsome, I couldn't resist and add 2 Virtavia aircraft in my hangar:

The C17 because it's top sales on many market place and reviews are good, also my prefered location for FSX is Hawaii and they have a hickham livery.

The B29 I like the wide cockpit view and this plane is history, Ummmm will take screenshots to make postcards.

The view from the pilot's seat in the Virtavia B-29. Rather well done, though keep in mind that this is in P3Dv2.2 and its internal self-shadowing feature adds a lot to the overall impression. You won't get that in FSX.
