Alabeo C177B Released!

Featured Replies

The bundle that contains the C177B in both FG and RG versions was released about half an hour ago. As expected, this bundle costs more than previous Alabeo aircraft, specifically $28.95.

Also, it was released the same day as the A2A Piper Cheroke 180.  ^_^

For $50 less. However, you can have fun with the 177, just don't learn anything or you're screwed.

I purchased this plane, my first from alabeo. Can anyone give me pointers on it? Does it have any sort of autopilot? Or is it only a by hand flier? I can load a flight plan into the gps, but can you engage any autopilot to follow that heading? I don't fly much GA, but thought id give this a try. Thanks.

Another day, another Cessna. :Sleepy:

The P3Dv2 Product costs $49.99. Unless you are buying a Bundle Deal: $69.99 which includes FSX and P3D, or a Professional bundle, the prices comparison you are stating is 100% inaccurate and misleading.

That is the reason for the disagree.

The P3Dv2 Academic Product costs $49.99, not the Professional Product which is $79.99.

Alabeo is not selling an Academic or Professional Product, just a Product. If you would like to split hairs, we can consider that anyone can purchase and use the Alabeo C177, while anyone (not a student or educator) wanting to simulate flying (without fun of course) with the "other" plane would have to purchase the Professional version.

$79.99 - $28.95 = $51.04

Therefore, neither was it misleading nor innacurate, except of course if you are pointing out the $1.04 more that I didn't add. ^_^

Ah, Ron.  I know you're having fun, and subtleties don't always make it into FSX models so a single engine Cessna often feels just like every other single engine Cessna, but IRL the Cardinal really is a different sort of bird and a very delightful plane to fly.  I'm quite pleased Alabeo decided to offer both fixed and retract 177s.

Someone on Facebook said that the engine sounds are the same with the default C172. Those of you who bought it, what do you think of the sounds?

I dont own the 172 so I cant comment on them being similar. It sounds good. Flies nice. But I have no idea how to actually fly it. I pretty much stick to the tube liners. Any tutorials out there on ho to actually fly one of these in fsx?

Oh I didnt see you said "default" 172. Thought you meant it sounded the same as the alabeo c172RG. I'll Check...

No, I dont think it sounds anything like the default 172. much different I think.

Sounds are different than a 172 - so I would assume they are using Cardinal sounds - this scoots along nicely to compared to a 712 and great visibility to the outside in VC - all in all I like this birdie - really looking forward to Carenado Hawker

That looks like a pretty good plane.  Might have to get this one.  I have also had my eye on the C195 Business Liner.  I fly mostly in P3D but still fly FSX from time to time so it is good to know that both of these planes work in both sims.

I think I might create my own P3D/FSX bundle and get the 177 and C195 for just over $50.

$60? 28.95 + 22.95 = $51.90.
