June 15, 201411 yr Hi, I did a flight last night into Chicago O'Hare (KORD) using the PMDG 777F, I was surprised to see enroute that the FMC had no runway information including STAR's for KORD. So I flew the STAR using the charts I had, all ended well. However, I would like to know why I have no airports within the FMC for KORD? I've checked the SID/STAR folder within the PMDG folder in FSX and it does have a detailed file for this airport, it's just not showing up in the FMC. Navigation data is provided by Navigraph and is up to date. Regards, Adam CrossleyCheshire, UK.
June 15, 201411 yr Hi, What is missing exactly? _ "KORD RWY's missing" _ "no runway information including STAR's" _ "no airports" Don't get me wrong, it is not sarcasm, but I'm french and I try to figure out exactly your issue. I guess KORD is in your FMC as you flew to there. Now the question is if you had any choice of runway in the arrival page but no STAR available or no runway at all? I flew to KORD with the B777F a week ago without any issue, but I use the navdatapro. Maybe you can try to reinstall your AIRAC or another? June 15, 201411 yr Are you using the FSX stock KORD or some other old version of KORD? KORD has added runways and if your 777 is using updated Navigraph Airac data that maybe your problem. The fix would be to download an updated KORD from the Avis library and install it. There was a tread similar to your problem in this forum or the 737NGX forum. Do a search for KORD in the PMDG forums and read what fixed it for the OP in the other thread. Rod Storer
February 11, 201511 yr Same issue here. Using FSDT KORD, Prepar3D, and the new PMDG 777 for Prepar? AMD Threadripper 1950x 16 core, 32GB of RAM, SSD, Liquid Cooled.
February 11, 201511 yr Make sure the navigraph FMS data manager has installed the AIRAC cycle for your P3D install and not just FSX Cheers, Chris Brand
February 11, 201511 yr FSDT KORD does not include the recent (maybe 3 yrs ago) addition of runway 28L so it is still using 28L that is now 28C. The default KORD is vastly different from current runway numbering. Of course the Navigraph information is current. I make it a habit to open the airport diagram for the locations I'm flying to/from as well as the terminal procedure charts... part of my preflight. In some parts of the world charts are hard to find but there's always a work around. Dan Downs KCRP
February 11, 201511 yr . I did a flight last night into Chicago O'Hare (KORD) using the PMDG 777F, I was surprised to see enroute that the FMC had no runway information including STAR's for KORD. Try removing the ARPT_RNWY.dat in FSX/PMDG/Navdata folder. It should rebuild the next time you start the 777 and likely fix the issue Mike
February 11, 201511 yr KORD has undergone major construction over the last few years as a result no payware are up to date. I use Ray Smiths latest afcad in file library. Also KORD no longer uses SIDS. Brian Smith
February 12, 201511 yr Also KORD no longer uses SIDS. Was there a time that they did?? I've never seen them, just wondering. I did see an approach plate once for a radio range approach... really cool. Dan Downs KCRP
June 30, 20169 yr . Try removing the ARPT_RNWY.dat in FSX/PMDG/Navdata folder. It should rebuild the next time you start the 777 and likely fix the issue Mike That did the trick! I had the same problem and lurked this thread. Thank you very much. Regards Lars Wüst
