New Pushback addon coming soon

Featured Replies

I have GSX but hardly ever use it because it consumes too much GPU resources like a Big airport scenery so making my entire system to be slow down extremely. (3770K, 8G ram, 660Ti)

I really didn't see the discussion about it's performance but I have confirmed that I'm not the only one who is suffering with it.

All I want is the most simple pushback-only function.

No detailed/simple 3D vehicles, No preflight procedure, No audio playback or dance.

Just follows the AFCAD line and sets my aircraft on the proper taxiway, and goes away..

I'm not saying that there is nothing needed for immersion, just need 'checkbox's.. as many as possible.  B)

I used to push back 737s for Westjet and always was out of there and disconnected before they could even start their 2nd engine. The pushback speed was a fast walking pace and pilots like it when youre outa their way quickly.

I open the relevant doors at the very start otherwise it keeps bugging..

I have GSX and hardly ever use it. The pushback is OK but opening and closing the doors drives me nuts. If that were automatic then no problem but I feel like I am constantly interrupted from my work to open or close a door. I end up just pushing back manually with keys programmed into my joystick and using the numbers 1 and 2 for the turn. Would be nice to have stand alone interaction with the ground crew.

I thought I was the only one a bit disappointed in GSX's pushback. For me the pushback itself and the time it takes is fine and seems realistic enough. It's the time after the "set parking brake", you have sit and wait for the wing walker's "dance", who then climbs onto the towtruck which then sometimes cannot make up it's mind where to go and get out of the way, that's frustrating. Until now I have taxied over many of GSX's towtrucks taking to long to get out of the way, screaming "set parking brakes immediately!" behind me. :P FS2Crew's announcement is thus good news to me.

I hate to wait in real life for a towtruck driver that does not know where to go . My personal opinion when it comes to real world operations to be realistic with pushback and the like in fsx , some people forget that a pushback patern its always diferent acording to your gate , and ramp traffic situation so i figure its not easy to get software to replicate real operations. Thats my 02 cents without getting into details . It will be a dream come to life if i could get pushback in real life to be as fast as fsx default ...

plus the rudder pedals shaking during pushback looks bad.

That is because AES slews the plane in push back, GSX does not. GSX is more realistic, as you will notice the wheels turning. AES looks weird as it drags the plane.
