Hi Rob, I had some screen shots linked from my skydrive folder, posted on Majestics forum, taken from my sim, which showed the vertical lines (spikes) problem. But also some texture flashing issues that I was having with my particular setup (using Van+). I had thought that the "spikes" were much worse on my machine, showing up in water, mountains, middle of the city, etc, but no where near a bridge. It seems now, that my scenery wasn't the issue, and that the issue is more common than I had thought.

  regards, Jazz.

I had those raised bridges also - it is a Q400 problem not there with any other aircraft

The Bridge issue (very tall bridges that raise up to the sky) is specific to an aircraft's view ... for example the F22 will not show the problem in any view.  However, the CS L1011 will show the problem in "Right Wing" view but not in VC ... I've reported to LM but seeing as it's aircraft dependent and view dependent I'm not sure who will end up fixing this problem.

As far as vertical spikes running to the sky, I've seen that issue but it has almost always been a case of my GPU getting too hot and/or graphics settings cranked up too high. I think I reduced that issue by dropping textures down to 1024, didn't OC my GPU, and maybe turned building density down ... not what you want to hear, but that solved those types of spikes ... if indeed we're talking about the same type of spikes?

Cheers, Rob.

I dont know Rob. My GPU isnt running hot, constant monitor and default settings, and it only occurs with the Q400.

Onedrive containing 6 pics. I hope the link works.

Here are few screen grabs from CYVR and CYTZ (Toronto). The only time I see these type of spikes, is in the vc of the Q400. The 2D view(no panel) shows a normal scene without spikes or flashing textures. The flashing textures are very apparent in flight, as it seems that every mountain peak as far as the eye can see, is flickering.

tested that the link is correct.

Thought MJ had determined it was a Gauge causing this issue. They were going to wait a few days for any other issues then release a patch?

"we found a fix for this problem, but it needs a new gauge dll. We will wait a few days to see if there are any additional glitches that requires patching, and update the installer  and patch distributables"

Yeah, I did have a modest overclock on my gpu (GTX670 Sig II FTW) of +150 mhz. I monitor the temps constantly via the G13 lcd. The highest it ever reached was 62 deg C. The default down clock temp is set at 90 deg C. As for grapics settings I have a very modest system by today's standards, as such, I don't go over board and run my graphics settings at normal/middle of the road for all settings.

Downloading full installer now from Just Flight ... will install and see if I can duplicate.  Any particular airport? or Lat Long?

Cheers, Rob.

Would you mind trying ORBX PNW, NRM? As that is where I see the worst case of texture flashing.

Well Folks.....

We are at present trouble shooting and testing the problem, as we attempt to find a resolution.  We though that we had a fix  but I spoke too soon.  We will let you know via our forums and F/book the status of our progress if this will take a bit longer than anticipated.

Best Regards

Confirmed issue in P3D V2.3 beta 2 also:

But on the plus side, the stutters are completely gone!  Smooth as silk ... really looking forward to the update to fix this.  I missed flying this aircraft.

Cheers, Rob.

I get those in more than the Dash. Will upload some pics tonight.
