Piper Arrow III PA28R-200 from vFlyteAir Simulations - Coming Soon for X-Plane 10.30

I don't know what piece of code exactly is being talked about in this case, but my guess goes to the "anti-torque" measures using the code initially introduced at a thread in the .ORG forums.

No, JComm. I know this is your favorite topic, but your guess is wrong.

Oops, then, I'll still have to wait until someone finally get's to use those new datarefs :-(

Thx for the info Mario!

I hope they sort it out. After all I liked their add-ons and have them all, less this Piper...

I think the code you mentioned ("introduced at the .org") and the new datarefs are two different things, aren't they?

Anyway, on their website, vFlyteAir now state:

We are in the process of rebuilding; both our products and our company. In cooperation with other members of the X-Plane community, we are working on retooling our products, and we hope to re-release them in a different format soon. Thank you for your patience during this time!

Yes Mario,

completely different approaches. The solution used, for instance, in some of the Carenados is based on a feature or the prop dataref that allows to set a coefficient used to increase / decrease the prop effects, while the new approach has to do with specific datarefs for moments in roll, yaw and pitch and can be used to fine-tune prop effects.

Frame rates are better, I think.

The aircraft is now plugin-free, which means that some of the previously included features (esp. regarding graphics and sound) have been removed.

On the other hand, the aircraft now has working circuit breakers for most systems, which is very nice. So if you pull out the breaker of the strobes for example, the strobes won't work, even if the strobes switch is on. Only very few aircraft developers in X-Plane take care to model this.

Oh dear, those removed graphical features wouldn't include window rain and ice effects would they?

Anyway, I'm having too much fun with the Legacy at the moment and when the updated Panther is released I'll be having too much fun with that to buy this for a while.
