September 10, 201411 yr They were talking about PrecipitFX over on Orbx forums and I thought some folks over hear would find it interesting. No windshield rain effects, unfortunately, but the rest looks pretty cool. It's cheap ($13) and folks seem pleased. No P3D version yet. Gregg EDIT: Thought I'd link the video for convenience... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SuM7k2sjWXw Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. September 10, 201411 yr Thanks for the link. I'd love to see more footage of what this addon can do for GA aircraft. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Aaron Thacker
September 10, 201411 yr Author I'd love to see more footage of what this addon can do for GA aircraft. I'll keep my eyes peeled. The one shot they show is pretty impressive. I'd like to see it on some AI airplanes in Orbx-land. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
September 10, 201411 yr It looks nice at first glance But I bet that experiencing this over and over again will get monotenous Just like FSX, no variations worth mentioning...
September 11, 201411 yr I wonder how this looks from inside the cockpit. No screenshots from that point of view. After all what I care about most is improving the weather immersion from the pilot point of view. I have dreams about snow blowing across runways, and raindrops on the windshield like x-plane can do. Wish our friends at Lockheed could accelerate development in that area.

September 11, 201411 yr Looks very good, but would like to see it from the VC looking forward, day time , light rain and heavy. Since I don't leave the VC all the above I wont see but does look very good. What do we get from the VC view please. David Murden. September 11, 201411 yr PrecipitFX is a continuous improvement, they will keep releasing updates to make it better each. I know the co-founder personally and he reassured me that it's only gonna get better with time Daniel DesjardinsA330 Type RatedVAC005Senior VP-Human Resourceshttp://www.vacanada.org
September 11, 201411 yr Author PrecipitFX is a continuous improvement, they will keep releasing updates to make it better each. I know the co-founder personally and he reassured me that it's only gonna get better with time I'd agree that he needs to make some videos from inside the cockpit for folks to see how it looks from a VC. That's where you spend 95%+ of time. Looks promising. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090

September 11, 201411 yr Commercial Member That's not wheel chock, that is a gravel kit. It's standard stuff on Alaska I think. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
September 11, 201411 yr Interesting. I have never noticed them in real life, even on flights to Prudoe Bay. Wilson
