October 19, 201411 yr Really coool shots! The cold grey sky, in pic 10, reminds of the coming winter. I can almost feel the frosty air on my cheeks. Jazz.
October 22, 201411 yr Commercial Member Fantastic shots @Rob: Would it be possible to check that our post in the p3d forum regarding the readerPdk->GetWindowName () function gets some attention ? This problem already affected numerous users of the Q400 under the P3D. It is in the SDK section Unfortunately the forum seem to be down, so I can't post the exact link Thank you!, Oleksiy

October 22, 201411 yr Would it be possible to check that our post in the p3d forum regarding the readerPdk->GetWindowName () function gets some attention ? Hi Oleksiy, I've passed your request along to Wes. LM web site was down for a while as they migrated their servers to faster and higher capacity servers (guess business is good) -- servers are up now and do indeed seem a little faster but I'm going West to East coast (assuming servers are located east coast per tracert). Thinking out loud here (I'm no PDK expert): I would think using GetWindowList and then enumerate thru the IWindowReaderPdk list to get the Window you want? Is your issue that the GetWindowName from the IWindowReaderPdk is not returning a char*? Is GetWindowList returning the windows you expected to see? Cheers, Rob.
October 22, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hello Rob Thank you for helping with this. Yep, GetWindowName () is returning NULL if user has disabled the window titles in the Prepar3D.CFG. We have no other way to identify the view, it seems.
October 22, 201411 yr Yep, GetWindowName () is returning NULL if user has disabled the window titles in the Prepar3D.CFG. We have no other way to identify the view, it seems. Yeah it is a little odd that "name" is used frequently in the PDK and not a window handle (WHND) ... maybe for compatibility reasons for products that look for a specific name? Anyway, hopefully this will get sorted out. Cheers, Rob.
October 22, 201411 yr Commercial Member Ideal would be of course Camera GUID information for the window. Oleksiy
October 22, 201411 yr Great screen shots Rob, I have decided the Q400 is my study Aircraft for the winter. Last year it was the 737 but alas I cannot continue with that course since it doesn't work in P3D. LOL!
