Looks pretty sweet.

Bizarre that after all these years that this is a breakthrough for fsx/p3d, whereas this is run of the mill for other games.

Now we just need to have that rain and snow sliding down the windshield in streaks, and have the wipers actually wipe the drops away like in TS. Why is it not possible with DX11 in p3d to do that? Is it the individual aircrafts that would enable this feature if it was possible, or is it a global effect that would be within p3d? Hopefully that happens one day.

Interesting find here.. at least in the P92 Eaglet (Ant's Airplanes).. i'm getting rain drops beading on the windshield... pretty exciting stuff.. i've got to take some screen shots and video in the near future. (v2.4 Prepar3D)

Here is a quick demo showing rain effects that I made.  I'm enjoying the product, very nice add-on.

Yeah, it's great product, works well in P3D V2.4 ... the rain drop FX already exist in P3D (and FSX I think) when you go to Cockpit view (full screen no-cockpit).  It would be great if the FSFX Packages crew could figure out how to make that happen in VC.

Cheers, Rob.

Here is a quick video i made in the Eaglet just to show the droplets on the windshield.. I also tried unchecking rain effects in the installer and the droplets were still there, so its not added by PrecipitFX as far I can see.  As Rob said, yeah when you goto full screen cockpit view, you get droplets on any aircraft.  This link should be live in a few minutes:

was reading another thread on this product dating as far back as October with impressive views but also concern regards up to 10% drop in fps when using this product

regards up to 10% drop in fps when using this product

I haven't noticed any change in FPS using this product ... it just makes the rain and snow look much better.  The contrails extend pretty far and still no hit on FPS.  (at least in P3D anyway, don't know about FSX).

Cheers, Rob.

thanks for the update rob was hoping for such feedback,

would complete my new p3d install quite nicely

cheers
