Pleased to report FSX:SE is running well, a few hours of flying default FSX aircraft followed by the purchase of Aerosoft's Airbus bundle, and a full flight in the A319. All without any major issues, so I'm certainly happy with what DTG have done so far.

It is working Alistair. If you use a mobile theme in your brower, you won't see poster's signatures. I just switched my browser to the "full" version, and your signature is indeed there.

Jim-

I would ask that you please refrain from conjecture on what may/may not cause the NGX and 777 to work or not work with FSX SE.

Based on what little research I have done, your assumptions are quite invalid- and I would appreciate you not putting yourself into a position where it appears that you are handing out policy and development guidelines on our behalf.

I know you are trying to be helpful- but your comments are quite incorrect and thus it is necessary to point this out in this thread.

My apologies Robert! I was concerned that individuals are going to screw up their SE installations by trying to manually move files from RTM FSX NG/777 installations trying to "make" the aircraft work or activate in SE. Was trying to emphasize that they need to wait for you guys to release an official update.

But you're quite correct that I should not assume what the root cause for the incompatability is, and will refrain from doing so in the future.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your understanding...

I was worried you would think that I was just beating you up for amusement- (i would NEVER! ) but we were starting to get comments to our support side based on what you were "thinking out loud."

We should have a handle on it sometime next week when the whole team is back in operation....

My gut is telling me to not trust Dovetail... they're too small to handle the whole FS community and have a reputation for buggy games and addon peddling. However, time will tell where they take this. I also want to see if they will make updates to directx and graphics like P3D... not mere stability fixes

PMDG, do you have any information about the release date of that new "INSTALLERS"??

Goncalo-

As I mentioned already, the team returns to work on Monday...  We will begin to evaluate the issues with FSX:SE at that time.

Some of us have already been chipping away at them...  I can assure you only that they will be ready when they are ready.

(Makes sense when you think about it...)

Goncalo-

Also- one other item I just thought of:

Initially we thought there was simply an issue of installing the files in the proper places for our products to run in FSX: SE.  It turns out to be a bit more complex than this, and it is taking a bit of code research to figure out some of the changes Dovetail decided to make.

I'm sure we'll overcome the obstacles quickly...  your patience is appreciated.

Thanks for the update. Since I left the "simming world" last year I've been itching to get back and I don't think I'm going to be able to resist building a new rig after picking up FSX:SE for £4!

Karl Brooker

Thanks a lot PMDG for those amazing products  . Now just some time for the Steam version compatibility issue to be fixed :P Tired of flying the A320 on long haul routes   :P . Also eagerly waiting for the 747V2 !

Oh nice I'm just asking cause I've 60 EURO to spend in add-ons (i've none)

I was thinking if I would spend it on PMDG or FSDT LAX + GSX

I'll probably buy PMDG first

Thank you for the great work you have been doing

I really appreciate that

PS: I just use FSX: SE :ppp

Are you going to advise us as soon as the updates are available?
