December 31, 201411 yr Hi, any recommendations out there for other aircraft/vendors that have/make simcrafts that have realistic flight dynamics, age depending on how they are flow, require maintenance depending on how and how much they are flown, have a maintenance hanger (perhaps)... like A2As Cessna 182? Planes that demand proper flying OR penalize you for not flying right! The Cessna, for example, forced me to improve my landings because I was damaging hinges! I know there are a few other A2As models but thought someone might know of others. Looking for an "immersive experience" I particularly like GA or vintage commercial aircraft... mostly prop. Thanks Carl =================
December 31, 201411 yr Hi Carl, you may try Aerosoft's Katana 4X, a beautifully done addon with amazing system depth. If you like flying low and slow it is certainly a good choice. December 31, 201411 yr Author Thanks. Looks like a good one! Any other suggestions out there. Carl ========
December 31, 201411 yr Only one I can think of atm is also Aerosoft's (Marcel Feldes) Katana 4x. Fantastic plane, awrsome flight model, sounds, vibrating instrument needles, exhaustive service and maintenance features. It even gets dirty if you don't clean it in between flights, something even the A2A planes doesn't have. Marcel is also working on a Turbo Porter right now and it already looks ace. Get the Katana you won't regret it even though it won't blow your mind with UHD textures or colorful repaints it still -thanks to fantastic quality of work- holds up very well. Happy new year!
December 31, 201411 yr The flight 1 king air has something similar, and its a joy to hand fly. Its got engine wear, hot starts and many others. Although it is a modern aircraft with a G1000. Heres Ray's review of it http://forum.avsim.net/page/index.html/_/reviews/aircraft/flight1-b200-super-king-air-r1889 Jordan Ridener
December 31, 201411 yr A fabulous plane with a few realism/damage options (no hangar, though), is the RealAir Duke V2. Or, just released (with Garmin GTN support..) http://forum.avsim.net/topic/458902-fyi-turbine-duke-v2-release/#entry3146164 Bert
December 31, 201411 yr +1 to RealAir , Aerosoft Katana 4x, Flight1 King air is very good too | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
December 31, 201411 yr Dodosim 206 has some of these features, but you probably wouldn't like it because it is a helicopter.
December 31, 201411 yr There is also the Orbx RV-4 which simulates engine age, maintenance, use, etc. https://www.fullterrain.com/product/vansrv4 Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato
December 31, 201411 yr Aghh the RV4 - fps monster even without the glass version...
